EVANSVILLE AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSUEM’S FIRST VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER

Dateline: [Evansville, IN, November 8, 2020] — On November 14, 2020, the Evansville African American Museum will hold its first virtual fundraising campaign. This year’s event replaces the annual Colour of Humanity Gala, the museum’s largest fundraising event. Due to Covid-19, the in-person gala was canceled.

Unlike in the past, the event will be virtual and feature testimonials from program participants, board members, and staff.  All proceeds will be used to maintain and expand exhibits and offerings of the museum through significant programs, workshops, lectures, and other educational services that facilitate awareness and understanding of African American history and culture in the Evansville community.

Donations, sponsorships, and raffle tickets can be found by visiting https://eaamnightofdreams.swell.gives/. The mission of the Evansville African American Museum is to continually develop a resource and cultural center to collect, preserve, and educate the public on the history and traditions of African American families, organizations, and communities.
