  1. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
  1. An executive session and a closed hearing will be held prior to the open session.
  1. The executive session and hearing are closed as provided by:
  1. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(5): To receive information about and interview prospective employees.
  2. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(6)(A): With respect to any individual over whom the governing body has jurisdiction to receive information concerning the individual’s alleged misconduct.
  3. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(9): To discuss a job performance evaluation of individual employees.  This subdivision does not apply to a discussion of the salary, compensation, or benefits of employees during a budget process.

    1. Officers in the Field Training Program.

  1. PENDING DISCIPLINARY MATTERS:
    1. 20-PO-11 – Corporal Tony Mayhew, Badge Number 773, 21-day suspension.  Appeal filed and hearing moved to December 14th. 
    2. 20-PO-12 – Officer Jarid Harris, Badge Number 1306, 21-day suspension.  Appeal filed and set for counsel progress report on November 9th.
  1. PROMOTIONAL PROCESS:
    1. Approval of written testing date accommodations for Sergeant Candidates 4828 and 1076.  Tabled from October 26th meeting.
  1. APPLICANT PROCESS:
    1. Certify the scores of the 2021 applicant list of 58 candidates.
  1. RETIREMENTS:
    1. Corporal Greg Brandenstein, Badge Number 762, retiring effective January 19, 2021 after serving 29 years and 16 days.
    2. Officer Tim Alford, Badge Number 1220, retiring effective January 19, 2021 after serving 22 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
    3. Lieutenant Joshua Wittmer, Badge Number 477, retiring effective March 30, 2021 after serving 20 years, 6 months, and 11 days.
  1. RESIGNATIONS:
    1. Officer Chance Farmer, Badge Number 1497, resigned effective October 28, 2020 after serving 4 months and 27 days.
  1. REMINDERS:  The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2020 at 4:00pm.
