 Music will be heard around the northern part of the county on Saturday, September 28, as North High School hosts the North Invitational Marching Band Festival. Twenty-five marching bands from across the region will compete in the invitational that beings at 3:30 p.m. Bands will be placed in one of five classifications, depending on band and school size. Awards will be given for first, second and third place as well as for best drum major, best percussion, and best auxiliary in each class. Overall awards, including a Grand Champion trophy, also will be presented. Admission to the event is $5.
