Amy Back Officially Kick Off Her Campaign For Vanderburgh County Council At Large Seat
Last week Amy’s Back and her friends and family joined her as she filed for the office of the Vanderburgh County Council at the Vanderburgh County Elections Office, Room 216, Civic Center Administration Building.
Amy is a long-time community champion. She has experience in both the business and non-profit sectors. Amy will bring that experience, along with new ideas and passion, to help usher the Vanderburgh County Council into a new decade.
She earned her BACHELOR OF ARTS & SCIENCES at INDIANA UNIVERSITY 2003. She majored in Political Science and earned a minor in History and Communications & Culture.
Her Current And Past  Achievements Are:
Member of the 2019-2020 Hoosier Women Forward class.
Chair of Principal Search Committee, which included developing committee, interviewing candidates, meeting with current faculty and staff for input and selecting a candidate.
President of St. Joseph School Board, which included running efficient monthly meetings and coordinating with Administration on policy issues & parent concerns.
Instrumental in getting a Masters Level Social Worker at St. Joseph School through Youth First. Â Youth First Board of Directors, present.

Coordinated three-day professional development training for social workers.
Developed and implemented a marketing plan for a community event regarding a specific method towards helping families with substance abuse.
Secured sponsorships and funding for the CRAFT training event
She was the Director of Membership and Investor Relations for the Southwest Indiana Chamber from June 2007 to APRIL 2012.
Grew the Chamber’s membership through the design & execution of an effective recruitment & retention strategy.
Served as the key staff liaison to the Ambassador & Membership Committees. Worked in the collaboration with the Chamber’s Director of Marketing on a lead generation and member retention strategy.
As Legislative Assistant and Intern Coordinator for Indiana for the Indiana House of Representatives, she carried a caseload of three state legislators with work including constituent services, policy research, all correspondence.
