We hope that today’s “READERS FORUMâ€Â will provoke honest and open dialogue concerning issues that we, as responsible citizens of this community, need to address in a rational and responsible way.
WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND TODAY?
Todays “Readers Poll’ question is: What type of renovation should the county do to the jail?

If the City still has a building inspector or a fire Marshall, they should immediately go 300 N Main St-Franklin St intersection and look at the NE corner where the brick building looks like bricks on the top of the second floor are starting to fall off. The dilapidated “Earl’s” next door on N Main is in even in worse shape. The City spent $16+ million to rebuild the too narrow street with a fancy shopping cart path. The City should immediately fence off these 2 hazards to protect the safety of pedestrians and and the occasional shopping cart path users.
Biden, you are not exaggerating the danger of those unstable structures.
That corner is an embarrassment. And looks veryunsafe.
