“LEFT JAB AND RIGHT JAB”

“Right Jab And Left Jab” was created because we have two commenters that post on a daily basis either in our “IS IT TRUE” or “Readers Forum” columns concerning National or International issues.
Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan’s comments are mostly about issues of national interest.  The majority of our “IS IT TRUE” columns are about local or state issues, so we have decided to give Mr. Biden and Mr. Reagan exclusive access to our newly created “LEFT JAB and RIGHT JAB”  column. They now have this post to exclusively discuss national or world issues that they feel passionate about.
We shall be posting the “LEFT JAB” AND “RIGHT JAB” several times a week.  Oh, “LEFT JAB” is a liberal view and the “RIGHT JAB is representative of the more conservative views. Also, any reader who would like to react to the written comments of the two gentlemen is free to do so.

    U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration is helping bring Christians and Yazidis in Iraq back from the brink of extinction fomented by a genocidal campaign at the hands of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), religious minority representatives declared this week at the second Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom convened by the Department of State.

    Yazda is benefiting from the Trump administration’s decision to directly assist religious minorities through U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) and faith-based partners instead of paying for U.N. programs that can divert money to other projects, a move praised by the Christians and Yazidis alike.

    “The U.S. has always been a symbol of freedom for persecuted people around the world. If minorities like Yazidis and Christians would have vanished from the Middle East, it would show the world the United States is not invested in promoting its values and a lot of people would lose hope,” Pir told Breitbart News.

      Trump Meets With Falun Gong Practitioner, Other Survivors of Religious Persecution

      WASHINGTON—A practitioner of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong who was persecuted in China for her faith was among 27 survivors of religious persecution who met with President Donald Trump at the White House on July 17.

      Yuhua Zhang, 59, was imprisoned and repeatedly tortured in China for 7 1/2 years for refusing to renounce her faith before escaping to the United States in 2015.

      Falun Gong, a traditional Chinese meditation practice, has been brutally persecuted by the Chinese communist regime for 20 years. At any given time, hundreds of thousands of adherents are held in prisons, labor camps, and brainwashing centers, where many have been tortured in an effort to force them to renounce their faith, the Falun Dafa Information Center estimates.

      Trump met with Zhang, as well as other survivors from 17 countries, including China, North Korea, Iran, Pakistan, and Burma, to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to religious freedom, the White House said.

      Zhang’s attendance at the event marked the first time a Falun Gong practitioner has met with the nation’s highest officeholder in an official engagement….

      “Each of you has suffered tremendously for your faith,” Trump said during the meeting. “Each of you has now become a witness to the importance of advancing religious liberty all around the world.”

      The survivors were in Washington to participate in the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom hosted by the U.S. State Department. The three-day conference, held July 16-18, is the largest religious freedom event in the world…..

        Colorado State University: Avoid Using the Word “America” Because It’s Not Inclusive

        Language guide says “male” and “female” should also be avoided.

        A new “inclusive language guide” compiled by Colorado State University asserts that the word “America” is “non-inclusive” and should be avoided.

        “CSU lists both “American” and “America” as non-inclusive words “to avoid,” due to the fact that America encompasses more than just the U.S. By referring to the U.S. as America, the guide claims that one “erases other cultures and depicts the United States as the dominant American country.” The school suggests using “U.S. citizen” or “person from the U.S.” as substitutes,” writes Ethan Cai.

        Other words to avoid include the following;

        – Male and female/ladies and gentlemen/Mr./Mrs./Ms (these words are gendered yet we don’t know the person’s gender – there are now infinite genders).
        – Straight (when used to refer to heterosexuals, this implies LGBT people are “crooked” or “not normal,” according to the guide).
        – Normal person (“implies that ‘other’ people… are not whole or regular people”).
        – Handicap parking (could offend disabled people).
        – War, cake walk, eenie meenie miney moe, Eskimo, freshman, hip hip hooray!, hold down the fort, starving, and policeman (all of these words are “non-inclusive”)….

        These are the people teaching your kids.

  4. Journalist Travels to Ilhan Omar’s Homeland to Prove Somalia is Beautiful, Gets Killed by Terrorists

    Tragedy of cultural relativism strikes again.

    A journalist traveled to Ilhan Omar’s homeland of Somalia to challenge stereotypes and prove the country was “beautiful,” only to end up being killed by terrorists.

    Before President Trump’s tweetstorm in which he encouraged Omar to go back and fix her own country, Somali-Canadian journalist Hodan Nalayeh was trying to do precisely that.

    Nalayeh returned to the country of her birth to tell “uplifting” stories about Somalia, according to the Washington Post.

    The journalist became well known for her relentlessly positive tweets about Somalia. Just one week ago, she lauded the “beauty” of the place….

    On Friday last week, Nalayeh was killed in that very same town when al-Shabab militants stormed the Asasey Hotel in Kismayo.

    The total death toll claimed 26 lives and it took around 14 hours for Somali security forces to regain control of the hotel.

    “While Nalayeh’s death would seem to underline the harshness of Trump’s remarks, it was also a visceral argument for what many understood to be his central point: that perhaps immigrants should be especially grateful to live in the United States,” reports the Pluralist.

    The group is touting the president’s record of success in office. They have put out these talking points detailing that record:

    Women who make up 56% of the 6,000,000 new jobs created since President Trump took office
    Women who are 50% of the Trump campaign team
    Women who are part of the 600,000 women who were lifted out of poverty by Trump policies
    Women who are part of the 12.3 million women-owned businesses under Trump and who bring in $1.8 trillion in revenue
    Women who are part of the 1,800 new businesses started every day
    Women who appreciate the $26 billion in new drugs savings
    Women who helped contribute to the $108 million Trump raised in the first campaign quarter
    Women who were half of the 975,000 individuals who donated in the same quarter

    …There were cheers for our president’s economic success of low unemployment and record-breaking stock growth, cheers for our president’s philosophy of leaving no one behind, cheers for our president’s support for our military and his success with highly complicated and difficult issues with North Korea, China, Israel, the Middle East, Iran.

    Our president gave up his life of luxury and business to get bashed every day by the media and Democrats, with 93% negative coverage, because President Trump has a deep love for America and wants to help the forgotten men and women. As Katrina Pierson said, “he fights for me, so I am going to fight for him.” There were 1,000 women at the rally who are going to fight for Donald Trump. Soon they will recruit another 2,000 women who will then recruit 4,000 women, all foot soldiers who are not afraid to voice their support for Trump. God bless Donald Trump!

  7. Something closer to home. Why is Robert Dion an employee of Evansville University still a member of the local county human relations commission? The guy is apparently anti Christian, made an obscene gesture to a street minister and the city council said it was his 1st Amend rights or basically he has the right to be an anti Christian bigot. Fine but should he be a member of the HRC which protects the least of our society or those in most need of protection. He was appointed by Winnecke and is still on the commission, time for Clemens and the mayor to get rid of this bigot.

    Poll: One Third of Dems Says Any Criticism of Politicians of Color is Racist

    A new Rasmussen poll has found that one third of Democrats think it’s racist for a white person to criticize a politician of color. Period.

    32 per cent of Democrats believe this no matter what the circumstance, according to the poll.

    The survey also found that 80 per cent of Democrats think President Trump is racist, while 85 per cent of Republicans think charges of racism are politically motivated.

    47 per cent of likely U.S. voters think Trump is racist while slightly more, 49 per cent disagree, saying this is a political smear.

    “According to the left’s rules, white people can be bashed 24/7 by the media and academia and blamed for all the ills in the world and that is not “racist,” but a white person is “racist” if they so much as criticize the political views of a “politician of color,” writes Chris Menahan.

    Meanwhile, AOC says calling her a “communist” is also racist.
