On Friday, May 3 at 1 pm at the Buick GMC Showroom at Romain Cross Pointe Auto Park, United Companies will award the first year of a multi-year gift to Youth First, Inc. to support the new placement of a Youth First Social Worker at Evansville Christian School.

United Companies is committing $10,000 a year for three years to help launch Youth First Social Work services at Evansville Christian School (ECS) that will serve the social and emotional well-being of ECS students in pre-school through 5th grade.

United Companies’ donation is presented as a challenge gift. ECS is also paying a fee that covers a portion of the cost, but Youth First must still raise another $35,000 a year to support its school-based social work program at ECS. United Companies challenges anyone who cares about the healthy development of young people and Evansville Christian School to support Youth First, too.

Youth First embeds Master’s level social workers and prevention programs in schools to help increase the hope and resilience of young people and their families. Youth First Social Workers are specialized mentors for students and prevention coaches for parents and teachers. Their presence also contributes to a healthier and safer school environment. Youth First currently partners with 76 schools in Indiana.

The media is invited to attend this important check presentation that highlights a vital community partnership. In attendance will be representatives from United Companies, Youth First, and Evansville Christian School.
