Driver Arrested for DUI while Transporting Unrestrained Three-Year-Old Son

Vanderburgh County – This morning at approximately 5:15, Lieutenant Brian Bailey was patrolling the construction zone on US 41 near I-69 when he stopped the driver of a 2019 Nissan for driving 83 mph in the posted 45 mph zone. The driver was identified as Jarvis Green, 31, of Lawrenceville, IL. Green’s three-year-old son was found unrestrained in the back seat. Bailey also observed signs the driver may be impaired. Further investigation revealed Green was impaired and had a blood alcohol content of .10%. Green was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held on bond. The child was released to a relative.
