  1. Trump Effect – Hate Crimes Doubled (226 Percent Increase) In Counties That Hosted Trump Rallies (News That Joey and Right-Wing Want To Bury & Ignore)

Trump’s political rhetoric has a measurable link to reported hate crime and extremist activity. White nationalist leaders seem to agree, as leaders including Richard Spencer and David Duke have publicly supported Trump’s candidacy and presidency, even if they still criticize him for not going far enough. The New Zealand shooter even referred to Trump as a “renewed symbol of white identity”

Trump has adamantly insisted that his rhetoric does not incite violence, but analyses show a link between his campaign and acts of violence or bullying. This is not the first time Trump has been accused of catering to white nationalists after a terrorist attack. At an August 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, a young white man rammed his car into a crowd of counterprotesters, killing Heather Heyer. Afterward, Trump insisted that “there’s blame on both sides” for the violence

Then in October 2018, a gunman killed 11 congregants at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. When Trump announced plans to visit the synagogue, many people in Squirrel Hill, the city’s predominantly Jewish neighborhood, took to the streets demanding first that Trump renounce white nationalism before paying his respects to the victims

Using the Anti-Defamation League’s Hate, Extremism, Anti-Semitism, Terrorism map data (HEAT map), we examined whether there was a correlation between the counties that hosted one of Trump’s 275 presidential campaign rallies in 2016 and increased incidents of hate crimes in subsequent months

To test this, we aggregated hate-crime incident data and Trump rally data to the county level and then used statistical tools to estimate a rally’s impact. We included controls for factors such as the county’s crime rates, its number of active hate groups, its minority populations, its percentage with college educations, its location in the country and the month when the rallies occurred. We found that counties that had hosted a 2016 Trump campaign rally saw a 226 percent increase in reported hate crimes over comparable counties that did not host such a rally

It is hard to discount a “Trump effect” when a considerable number of these reported hate crimes reference Trump. According to the ADL’s 2016 data, these incidents included vandalism, intimidation and assault. Another recent study in Virginia found incidents of racist bullying increased at schools in counties that backed President Donald Trump, and actually decreased in areas carried by Hillary Clinton

According to the FBI’s Universal Crime report in 2017, reported hate crimes increased 17 percent over 2016. Recent research also shows that reading or hearing Trump’s statements of bias against particular groups make people more likely to write offensive things about the groups he targets

  2. New Data Provides Evidence That Fox News Is A Danger to America

New polling proves the existence of a frightening “Fox News Bubble” or “FoxHole” by showing that nearly eight in 10 Republicans (78 percent) who watch the right-wing news network believe Trump is the most successful president in history, while only 12 percent of the rest of America believes that

This shows that Fox News lies and propaganda are working. The research finds that Republicans who lean heavily on Fox News for information believe a wide range of things that most Americans think are untrue

The survey shows Fox News presents an “alternative reality” to its largely conservative viewers, and plays an outsize role in (wrongly) shaping the political and even scientific views for a significant portion of American voters

Where Republican partisan affiliation and the Fox News echo-chamber overlap, there is near unanimity on the politics and even the facts defining the Trump presidency. This is the “FoxHole” that has been discussed numerous times

Among the findings of the poll, which was conducted from March 1 to 4:

12 percent believe climate change is mostly caused by humans, compared to 62 percent of all other Americans

84 percent support Trump declaring a national emergency to start building a border wall, compared to 21 percent of all others

20 percent support the special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, compared to 67 percent of all others

This new survey provides empirical evidence that Trump has been greatly helped by the Fox News propaganda machine that faithfully repeats his lies and supports everything he does

These findings won’t come as a great surprise to anyone existing outside of the “FoxHole,” and just as likely, those who dwell there will dismiss it as more “fake news” from liberal media

The conclusion from this survey is simple: Fox News, by operating as “state TV” and filling its viewers’ minds with propaganda, is a danger to America

    • Important to always understand the 1st Amendment only applies to protect liberal and socialist speech.

      • Fox News (Unwittingly) Exposes Its Free Speech Hypocrisy

In the span of 20 minutes just last Thursday night, Fox News personality Laura Ingraham put on an impressive show of cognitive dissonance, alternately offering a staunch defense of the First Amendment and its importance on college campuses, then attacking New York University for hiring two adjunct professors whose free speech she disagrees with

The first segment came courtesy of Trump, who signed an executive order Thursday afternoon threatening to cut federal research funds from colleges that restrict free speech on campus. Ingraham (of course) applauded the order, going so far as to criticize as “completely absurd” speculation that Trump was acting to protect only conservative speech while liberal voices wouldn’t receive similar backing

She then tried to quash liberal voices in her next segment, taking umbrage at New York University’s hiring of two liberal journalists as adjunct professors. Ingraham strongly supports the First Amendment on college campuses, but apparently only when it’s protecting voices she agrees with, becoming just the latest of Fox personalities to echo the apparent hypocrisy, as Fox News broadcast similarly contradictory views about free speech all day

Conservatives used to insist that what the Constitution rightly protects in freedom of speech, a healthy civil society rightly modulates. Trump’s vulgar, violence-invoking campaign, which included his villainizing of the “political correctness” of angry, frightened students, reminds us that our civil society has been weakened by decades of predatory investing and marketing that, under the cover of defending freedom, elevated a failed casino financier and relentless self-promoter to the White House

In our polarized times, a civil liberties corollary to the golden rule is: Fight for the rights of others that you would like to exercise yourself

Do you want corporations obliterating speech the state can’t touch?

Do you want the price of participation in public debate to include the fear of lost livelihoods?

Then, by all means, support efforts to censor football players, join the boycotts and shame campaigns. Watch this country’s culture of liberty wither in front of your eyes. Americans don’t really care about liberty anymore, do we? We just want to punish our enemies

The “Bake The Cake, Bigot” and “Stand For The Flag” factions think they’re on opposite sides, but they’re not. They’re the left-wing and right-wing version of the same thing

When the President of the United States says that Americans who peacefully protest by kneeling at the National Anthem should get out of the country, that is as close as the secular Republic has to blasphemy. If I were an NFL player, I would strongly consider kneeling at the anthem on First Amendment grounds, out of respect for the greatest liberty America gives us: the right to speak out minds, including the right to worship freely. That’s in the First Amendment too

  3. Louisville Man Threatened To Blow Up ‘9,000 Kiddies’ At A School

Louisville Metro Police officials say they have arrested a man accused of threatening to blow up a school

James Dylan Grimes, of Louisville, was taken into custody early Friday morning and was charged with terroristic threatening.

An arrest report claims Grimes, in a Facebook message that was reported to police by an anonymous tip, said he was inspired by the recent mass shootings in New Zealand and was going to kill “9,000 kiddies” at a school with explosives

Facebook’s legal department confirmed that the message had been sent from an account associated with Grimes, according to the arrest report. He was booked at Louisville Metro Corrections just after 2:30 a.m. Friday

  4. RR, is with misty eyes in his safe place with his therapy bunny and blanket after the Mueller Report proved no Trump Russian collusion. So sad.

    • Considering NOTHING has been released from the Mueller investigation, you keep deluding yourself, little Trumpy, since the right-wing is going down in flames

We didn’t learn anything new about what Mueller has found since there was NOTHING released. That information is contained in a report he submitted to the Trump-appointed attorney general who was already busy Friday evening reading through the comprehensive document

Dozens of sealed indictments remain filed in D.C. federal court spanning the nearly two years Mueller’s been on the job

What we do know is that Mueller has brought charges against at least 34 people and three companies. That includes guilty pleas from Trump’s former national security adviser, his ex-personal lawyer, and the one-time campaign chairman and deputy chairman, resulting so far in more than 10 years of combined prison sentences

Mueller has also already detailed the astonishing scope of Moscow’s election meddling. His charges against 12 Russian intelligence officials explained the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign, the pilfering of internal emails and the release of those messages through WikiLeaks. Additionally, the special counsel lifted the curtain on the alleged “troll farm” housed in Russia’s Internet Research Agency, which filled social media platforms with posts slamming Clinton and backing Trump

The Mueller Report Is Done, But The Investigations Into Trump Aren’t Over

The Justice Department informed Congress on Saturday afternoon that Attorney General William Barr would not provide findings to lawmakers until at least Sunday, officials at Justice and on Capitol Hill confirmed

Barr, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and their top aides were at Justice Department headquarters Saturday going over Mueller’s submission and considering how to boil down the core conclusions into a summary that can be made public before officials embark on a review of the whole document, an official said

A member of the Judiciary Committee said Republicans’ efforts over the last two years to force the public release of elements of the Russia probe (as well as the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server) had armed Democrats with an argument to require disclosure of the Mueller findings

“Republicans have really shot themselves in the foot with what they approved. They really undermined any argument Barr might want to make that there’s longstanding precedent”

Mueller is also known to have referred or handed off responsibility for some matters to federal prosecutors in New York, Virginia, and Washington
