Today, special needs students in the Evansville Vanderburgh School will have the chance to catch the big one at the seventh annual “Catchin’ with Capin†fishing trip. The event is organized by Kyle Capin, a Harrison High School graduate, who started the program to give his friends with special needs the same experiences and love for fishing that he had.
The event will take place at the Dunn Hospitality group lake behind Cracker Barrel on Evansville’s east side.
In its first year, the program included about 30 students from Harrison, but grew to nearly 200 students last year.
