EVSC Hosts STEM Camp

The EVSC, in partnership with the University of Southern Indiana, Butler University and I-STEM at Purdue University, is providing a week-long summer STEM Camp for students currently enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The camp, taking place at Stockwell, focuses on science, technology, engineering and math, with a special emphasis this year on computer sciences. A few of the hands-on activities taking place on Wednesday and throughout the week include:
- Kindergarten students will engineer hex robots to design and complete mazes.
- First grade students will be “Superhero Scientists” and study mathematical patterns in animals.
- Second graders will build houses out of different materials with a budget.
- Third graders will work with a “Bee” theme and work to find their way out of a hive through codes.
