Marty Simmons Out at University of Evansville
 Marty Simmons is out as the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Evansville, 44News has confirmed.
The school tells 44News there will be an official announcement Wednesday morning.
Simmons, 53, was the head coach of the Aces from 2007 to 2018. He accumulated a 282-248 record during his near-decade leading the UE. He also served as an assistant coach from 1990 to 1996, and 1997 to 2002. Simmons also guided the Aces to a 2015 CIT Championship.
Simmons played for the Aces from 1986 to 1988 after transferring from Indiana University. He played for the Hoosiers from 1983 to 1985.
Simmons, a native of Lawrenceville, Illinois, was named Illinois Mr. Basketball in 1983, and was inducted into the UE Hall of Fame in 1997.
