  1. TO ATTORNEY GENERAL CURTIS HILL REMARK: RED FLAG LAW. CAN SEE WHY POLICE AND PROSECUTORS DON’T USE THIS LAW—-HOW TO PROVE. AND, SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS PEOPLE WILL HAVE IT ON THE REPEAL WISH-LIST SOON NOW THAT THEY ARE REMINDED.

  3. Here’s the only reason that arming teachers with firearms won’t deter future mass school shootings: liberal teachers will refuse to defend their students (and themselves) because they’d rather make a political statement:

      • Oh bullshit. Saw this on national news tonight. Shows that the “good guy with a gun” is bullshit when a cop (a “professional” for most) with 30 years experience does nothing, yet rightwing morons want to give teachers a weapon

        The armed deputy assigned to the campus of a Florida high school during a deadly shooting last week stayed outside the building during the attack and failed to engage the shooter, the county sheriff said on Thursday.

        If the cop who is supposed to be the person using a weapon and does not, it is asinine and ignorant to protest a teacher who is simply stating she is there to TEACH!

  4. I ask a sincere question, the Thomson Machine gun is either illegal or requires a federal license. What is the difference in it and the ar15? I have several weapons that we shoot recreationaly, I don’t consider myself a risk. Honest answers only, please.

    • The machine gun is automatic, (pull trigger and it shoots till released), the AR semi-automatic, (pull each shot).

      I have a friend who has a machine gun and his permit to own it had to be signed by the county sheriff each year. But that was years ago so I don’t know if that still applies.

      The bump stock used in Vegas evidently turns the AR into an automatic but if you want to kill people, either way will get the job done.

      On a side note, if you get a chance to shoot a machine gun, hold on tight because it will want to rare up on you….

    • 1meover, with all due respect, it is difficult to believe you have several “weapons” you shoot recreationaly. Responsible recreational shooters refer to their “firearms”, or “rifles” and “pistols”. Never to “weapons”. Do you refer to your kitchen knives, car or pressure cooker as “weapons”? A machine gun is full auto, meaning it shoots as long as trigger is held down until out of ammo. The AR-15 stands for the original 1950’s manufacturer of the firearm variant or style, ArmaLite. AR = ArmaLite Rifle type. NOT ASSAULT RIFLE. The AR variants are a single shot per trigger pull, just like pistols and other auto-loading civilian sporting rifles. Bolt rifles and shotguns are typically a single shot per trigger pull until reloaded by shooter manually or by pump action.

    • Only an automatic Thompson is illegal. There are semiautomatic Thompson knockoffs that can be purchased.

  5. Do you really believe the Vegas Shooter would not have done what he did if he could not have gotten his hands on bump stock ? Without it, maybe he would have made a silencer and used a semi-automatic rifle and killed more people.

    Interesting how the Parkland, FL shooter seems to be a driver for a ban on bump stocks, but no bump stock was used there. Sometimes I wonder if the need for politicians to appear as if they are doing something causes them to draft legislation that they know will not solve the problem. I don’t think banning devices seem to work.

    The only real solution is to keep guns out of the hands of adults(& children) likely to performing such acts; which I admit is very difficult without destroying other peoples freedom.

    Is that medical school bring him that much popularity ?

    The C&P mentioned 500 students will attend the school, but the name of the programs seem to be the same programs already existing at UE and USI, which suggest the same programs will be moved down town, which I personally would not have to travel to if I were attending classes. Do voters in Evansville realize this stuff ?

    Is he really that popular of a mayor, or is his success due in part to a traditionally low voter turnout in E’ville ?

    Personally, I think both he and Nick Hermann are lying, arrogant, creeps.
