Mayor Lloyd Winnecke’s Weekend Schedule

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will pick-up litter near one of the city’s busiest traffic intersection during the monthly Clean Evansville clean-up from 9 to 11 a.m. Three “Clean Teams” will gather near the interchange at the Lloyd Expressway and U.S. 41. The teams will move from the interchange west toward Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Teams will meet near the CK Newsome Community Center to drop-off their trash bags.
Mayor Winnecke will stop by the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive at Walmart East from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. The toy drive continues through Sunday at 6 pm. All toys collected will be given to children at local hospitals. 911 Gives Hope is a charitable organization made up of emergency services personnel consisting of police officers, firefighters and paramedics.
Mayor Winnecke will help judge the annual Aurora Gingerbread House Contest. The event will take place at The Centre in Exhibition Hall B. The Mayor will arrive at approximately 2:15 p.m. for judging. An awards ceremony is set to begin at 4:15 p.m.
The Mayor will wrap-up the evening watching the Civic Theatre production of A Christmas Carol. The play opens at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor Winnecke will help solicit donations during the first hour of the annual Santa Clothes Club Telethon. The telethon will be at Washington Square Mall from noon to 6 p.m. The event will be broadcast live on WEHT and also on WTVW from 5 to 6 p.m.
Mayor Winnecke and First Lady Carol McClintock will attend the Evansville Philharmonic’s Peppermint Pops concert at 1:15 p.m. The concert features Broadway’s Jenn Newman and an early visit by Santa.

    This is really stupid for the city of Evansville PR lady to put this in a news release.
