The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana held its annual Arts Awards featuring the Mayor’s Art Award on Thursday. During the ceremony the organization announced the winner of the 2017 Mayor’s Art Award and 5 other arts awards. The award recipients are as follows.
Visual Arts Award – Joanne Massey
Performing Arts Award – Red Bank ReUnion Band
Young Artist Award – Jared Hoover
Arts Educator Award – Diane Brewer
Arts Council Award – Kirk and Sherry Wright
Mayor’s Art Award – Susan Hardwick
The Arts Council’s annual Arts Awards honor individuals, groups, and institutions that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the arts in Evansville and the surrounding counties.
