3 Rep. Luke Messer (IN-06) presented the Sagamore of the Wabash Award today on behalf of Governor Eric Holcomb to Chris Baggott, founder and CEO of ClusterTruck and longtime Indiana tech entrepreneur.
Messer presented the award to Baggott, a resident of Greenfield and 6th District constituent, during a ceremony at the company’s Indianapolis headquarters today.
“Chris Baggott embodies exactly what the 21st century American dream is about,†Messer said. “As an innovator, entrepreneur and job creator, Chris has had an enormous impact on Indiana’s growing economy throughout his career. On behalf of our Governor Eric Holcomb and the entire state, I congratulate Chris on this immense honor, and wish him and ClusterTruck continued success in the years to come.â€
ClusterTruck launched in 2016 as a delivery-only kitchen with a mission to bring people restaurant-quality food wherever they are. Prior to ClusterTruck, in 2013 Chris sold two companies he co-founded, ExactTarget, which employed thousands of workers in Indianapolis, and Compendium Software, to publicly traded tech giants Salesforce and Oracle. He then went on to found Tyner Pond Farm, which brings local and responsibly raised meat to Hoosiers and restaurants throughout the state.
“It is truly an honor to receive the Sagamore of the Wabash from Governor Holcomb,†ClusterTruck founder Chris Baggott said. “To be a part of this team at ClusterTruck, and the explosive growth we see on the horizon, is a testament not only to Indiana’s tech community, but also to the initiative and innovation that embody all Hoosiers.â€
ClusterTruck recently opened a location in Bloomington and new kitchens are planned to open across the country in Cleveland, Columbus, Denver, Kansas City and Charlotte.
The Sagamore of the Wabash award was created during the term of Governor Ralph Gates, who served from 1945 to 1949. The award is the highest honor which the governor of Indiana bestows. It is a personal tribute given to those who have rendered a distinguished service to the state or to the governor.

Congratulations, Chris Baggott on a well-deserved award. I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Baggott back when he was launching ExactTarget and have watched with admiration as he created numerous successful companies that enhanced small businesses and the quality people he employed. Good to see a good guy recognized.
