University of Southern Indiana Women’s Tennis freshman Lauren Hambrock (Terre Haute, Indiana) has been named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team, the conference announced Thursday evening after a vote by the league’s head coaches. Hambrock is the first USI women’s tennis player to make the All-GLVC team since Michelle Girgenti in 2011.
Hambrock finished the season 10-14 in singles play, going 10-9 in dual matches. She split her time playing at number one, two and three singles, with her best mark of 7-4 at number one. She was 3-3 in GLVC matches.
In doubles, Hambrock was 14-10 overall. She went 13-6 at number two, playing primarily with senior Kymberly Brannon (Louisville, Kentucky), where they went 8-5, the best mark of any pair.
The Screaming Eagles finished the season 10-11 overall, 2-4 GLVC.
