Raise the Bar is a state-wide bystander intervention training initiative targeting bar and restaurant staff which teaches them how to recognize signs among patrons that may lead to sexual violence. The training will equip all participants with the tools and knowledge needed to recognize the signs of perpetration, victimization, and sexual assault, as well as provide them with the ability to safely intervene and prevent sexual violence. Staff at Albion Fellows Bacon Center are trained facilitators of this program. Albion Fellows Bacon Center is hosting a Raise the Bar Information Session on Wednesday, April 26th from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Central Library in Browning Event Room B. The information session is open to the public and beneficial for all wait staff, security, kitchen staff, bartenders, managers, and owners.
Alcohol is the number one date rape drug.  By training staff of area establishments we can work together as a community of advocates to prevent sexual violence. Please contact Sophia or Amy at 812-422-9372 to reserve your spot.
