Volunteers to Work at Evans School

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
More than 200 volunteers will converge on Evans School Saturday to work on minor repairs and updates. The volunteers – from all over Indiana and local colleges – are part of an Outreach to Teach Grant that helps public schools in different regions of Indiana with repairs and updates. Evans was selected as a recipient for the 2016-2017 school year.
Volunteers will meet at the school for breakfast and then begin working a little after 9 a.m. They will break for lunch at noon and then closing ceremonies will take place at 4 p.m.
The annual grant is funded by the Indiana Student Education Association in collaboration with the Indiana State Teacher’s Association.
