First Security Bank’s Credit Team Expands to Meet Customer Demand – Mayer and Lewis Promoted, Yeary Hired as New Team Member

To better meet customer demands for both commercial and consumer loans, First Security Bank has expanded its Credit Administration team. The bank hired Matt Yeary as Vice President – Credit Officer; promoted Wanda Mayer to Vice President – Director of Loan and Credit Operations; and promoted Kim Lewis to the recently created position of Consumer Loan Underwriter.

Yeary comes to First Security Bank with more than 18 years of experience in credit underwriting and commercial banking including positions as Loan Review Officer, Commercial Banking Credit Manager, and Commercial Portfolio Manager. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics. Yeary most recently worked as a Commercial Portfolio Manager with Old National Bank.

Mayer has been promoted to supervise the loan operations, loan processing, and consumer loan underwriting departments. Since joining the bank in October 2016, she has led the implementation of numerous projects to manage the daily performance and productivity of the loan processing team. Mayer previously served as a Senior Vice President of Operations at Field and Main Bank. She was responsible for the leadership and management of operating units, including deposits, loans, facilities, and information technology.

Lewis assumes the new role of Consumer Loan Underwriter and will examine, evaluate, and authorize credit decisions of borrowers’ applications for all consumer loan products. She joined First Security Bank in March of 2014 and most recently worked as a Commercial Loan Administrator.
