Performing worldwide for nearly 19 years and over 2,600 shows, the critically acclaimed Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead concert experience, the band’s shows built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of the seven fine musicians who make up DSO. On any given night, the band will either perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use their own catalog to program a unique set for the show, which allows fans both young and old to share in the experience. Honoring both the band and the fans, DSO’s members seek out the unique style and sound of each era while simultaneously offering their own informed improvisations, creating a sound that truly encapsulates the energy and experience of a Grateful Dead show.

TESLA
With special guest Brent James and The Vintage Youth Sunday April 30th – 7:30PM (doors at 6:30PM) Victory Theatre
On Sale: Friday February 24 at 10am CST
Price: $35.00 in advance | $40.00 day of show

The 21st century has become something of a renaissance for Tesla. Most recently, 2014’s Simplicity bowed at No. 14 on the Billboard Top 200. The group ignited ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! in addition to scorching stages at festivals such as Rocklahoma, Graspop Metal Meeting and Sweden Rock Festival as well as the cruise Monsters of Rock! Tesla’s music is often referred to as heavy metal, but better described as blues metal, as the band’s lyrics stray from the themes popular in heavy metal, particularly those in the 1980s around the beginning of their career. A further distinction from their contemporaries is their signature blue-collar, T-shirt-and-jeans image, which was in strong contrast to the big hair, leather pants and flashy makeup that characterized glam bands in the scene during that time. Thanks to a die- hard, loyal fan base and their younger generation offspring, the critically acclaimed iconic Sacramento rock quintet has sold more than 25 million albums and performed to sold out crowds across the world.
