Tonight (Feb. 6), the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation announced it will fund a new six-lane track at Enlow Stadium.
“We are so excited to be able to offer Bosse students a brand new track,†said David Smith, EVSC Superintendent. “Enlow Stadium is such a beautiful landmark and an important part of our city and Bosse High School’s history. We are dedicated to making this a first-class facility for future generations.â€
Enlow Stadium was constructed in 1926 and has served thousands of students throughout the years. To help keep the history of Enlow Stadium alive and fund future improvements, the EVSC and EVSC Foundation kicked off the Keep Bosse First campaign. Keep Bosse First will maintain the historic structure of the stadium but also provide improvements to the existing structure and new tennis courts. Donations for Keep Bosse First are now being accepted by the EVSC Foundation.
The new track is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2017.
