The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team competed in the Division II Midwest Fall Regional on Monday and Tuesday at Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago, Illinois, where they finished tied for 13th.
Leading the Screaming Eagles was junior Kyle Tanriverdi(Pewaukee, Wisconsin), as he tied for 16th after shooting a 12-over 156 (79-77). Junior Preston Van Winkle (Santa Claus, Indiana) was tied for 13th after round one, and finished tied for 33rd at 16-over (76-84).
As a team, the Eagles finished tied for 13th with the University of Illinois Springfield by shooting a 70-over 646 (321-325). The University of Missouri-St. Louis won the tournament with a 38-over 614 (307-307).
The Eagles next tee off October 10-11 as part of the Midwest Regional hosted by UMSL at Fox Run Country Club in Eureka, Missouri.
