Aces to play final round on Monday
 BATAVIA, Ohio – Tyler Gray was the top performer for the University of Evansville men’s golf team as they wrapped up the first day of the NKU Fall Collegiate Classic at Elks Run Golf Club.
Gray posted a 77 to open the day before carding an even 72 in the second round to finish the day with a 149. He is tied for 27th overall. Matthew Ladd continued to record solid scores in his freshman season. His rounds on Sunday checked in at 73 and 77 as he is tied for 38th with a 150.
Wil Pahud and Cameron Weyer are tied for third for the Purple Aces. Each completed the day with scores of 155. Noah Reese is two behind the duo with a 157. Zac Turi and Austin Carmack played as individuals. Turi notched two rounds of 76 to complete the day with a 152. Carmack wrapped up the first two rounds with a 155.
As a team, Evansville is in 12th place with a 602. The Aces are six behind Youngstown State and St. Francis (Pa.), who are tied for 10th with scores of 596.
Dayton had a strong day, with all five of their players finishing the day in the top 15. The Flyers go into Monday’s final round with a lead of nine strokes over Oakland. Dayton notched a 567 with Oakland notching a 576. Stetson is currently in third with a 580.
The top two teams also had the top individuals. Dayton’s Nick Paxson and Oakland’s Marc Norton are tied atop the leaderboard with scores of 139. Devin Jenkins from Fort Wayne s in third, just one behind.
Tomorrow, the teams wrap up the tournament with a single round of 18.
