          By the way, anytime a foreign country or corporation wants a “favor” such as arm sales to a meeting with the President, it has to go through 9 different agencies to be approved, not just the State Department.

    Donald really didn’t do very well with the African American Crowd. Photo ops will not be enough to get their votes. They know who the real Donald Trump is and what he stand for. He is no different than Romney when it comes to helping the 46% people.

    • We can count on Don to fire poor old PAK up every day. Once the election is over with, if Hillary wins as expected by sane people, it’s me that he’ll be pissing off on a daily basis.

      • On further consideration, I owe DB an apology. It is not he who pisses PAK off daily. It is the sad and bitter little life he leads that does that. Becker just adds to it, and I help him do so when I can. When DB pisses me off, it isn’t because I woke up that way. It doesn’t even affect me very much. At most I flip my computer screen off while swallowing an extra Vantac in response to Becker being Becker, who isn’t Wayne.

          But you are right. Press’ is not happy w/ either Trump or Clinton. He won’t be happy after the election…..no matter who wins.
          Press lost the cultural war. That is what this is all about. Even IF Trump wins, Trump AIN’T gonna do ANYTHING Press wants….and he will still be pissed off about losing the cultural war.

          Press’ objective is to make sure Clinton loses, so YOU are unhappy too. Simple as that. (And a horrible character trait…..a life of swearing off “those sour grapes” cause you can’t reach them.”)

  8. Alzheimers: Example is when a presidential candidate repeats that Mexico will pay for the wall (while not having the balls to tell that to their presidents face), while still being told that Mexico has said they will not!

    • On second thought, the wall issue may just be just the definition of “stupidity”!

    • Especially if that candidate can’t remember whether a country is our dear friend and ally or our enemy, or whether that country’s people are rapists and drug dealers or “great people.” Couple that with a physician’s statement that describes him as having “astonishingly excellent” lab results and you have a “smoking gun” for a serious mental disorder on the part of the candidate and his physician.

  9. Just got through watching the footage of the Daniel Wooters shooting on the Courier-Press website.

    In three seconds Wooters is gunned down after stepping out of the police car. He isn’t even moving towards, or near a cop. No point in shooting a homeless person in the leg when you can just kill them, I guess.

    Yeah, I know. He threatened a female police officer with a small knife and stole a police car. Real big knife, too. Might have been drunk at the O’Charleys and got mouthy with the help to start the whole thing. Probably the only one to ever do that, right ? Remind me to never bring a duffle bag in there.

    No rational person would think that is giving someone adequate opportunity to surrender themselves, or that there isn’t some other way of apprehending that man without killing him.

    The police have really lobbied the government to make things nice for themselves.

    I’d love to see the Courier-Press do an article on the history and enactment of the ‘drop what is ever in your hands(car keys, pencil, cell phone, etc.) or the police can shoot you dead with your family having no legal or financial opportunity to pursue the matter’ law, but those cowardly, ‘Yes Man’ wimps I’m sure would not have the guts to do even that.

        People should know what Evansville, and Indiana is before they send their children to school here, for what might happen to them.

        This is what power, concentrated in the wrong hands can do.

    I get harassed on my job for making posts like the one above.

    That is not a democratic or free society.

    All of this leaves me wondering, what Evansville, Indiana, and perhaps the whole country has become ?

    Maybe freedom has always been an illusion in this country, used as a tool by politicians at election time to manipulate the public into voting for them ?

    • Bravo, Anon! I was sickened by it to the point I didn’t sleep after watching the slaughter of a clearly sick person. I was most taken aback by the laughter and profanity among the officers on the scene. The cop who said “I should have f—–g tased him” nailed it.
      The three officers who fired should be tried for manslaughter and never be allowed to touch a gun again. The ones who stood around giggling and swearing should be fired. I’ve avoided posting here about this because it is going to draw out all of the “Police-do-no-wrong” folks who hang around here, but this conversation needs to be held.

        • That footage might still be out there, but they certainly took it off the front page quickly after I made this post. I found it later when I did a search on ‘Police’.

          Not sure if any Courier-Press personnel monitor this website or not, but I have little doubt they would take it down before an public outcry occurs. How disgusting.

        This whole horrifying episode is being kept quiet in these parts, but “Cop Block” and “Photography Is Not A Crime!” both have this up on Facebook, and it has drawn a big national reactions. In total of the three posts on each page, have hundreds of shares and thousands of comments, very few of them favor EPD.

        I still think there is a “cover-up” going on here. They should also release the bodycam footage of the confrontation with the policewoman at 5/3 Bank, which kicked this thing off.

        It is things like this that keep me torn between leaving this town forever, and staying and working to make it a better place.

    Mop Head just announced Chris Christie is going to be the school lunch Czar in his administration.

    Christie stated ,”Out with fruits and vegetables, in with ice cream and moon pies.”

    Kellyanne Conway said if this doesn’t sew up the 6 to 13 year old vote nothing will.

    If you ever happen to be bitten by a police dog, do not try to remove his jaws from your arm as his teeth crush into your bone, as the police will tell you to not fight the dog despite the obvious wounds he is making to your body, else you may be charged with a crime if you hurt the dog since they carry the same legal rights as a human police officer.

    So, you must let the dog bite you or face charges for assaulting an officer, because a police dog has a greater status in society than a human being

    A week after his 2011 comments, President Obama released his birth certificate. ABC News later caught up with Trump, who said he’d release them at “the appropriate time.”

    “Yeah, at the appropriate time,” Trump said when asked.

    “So you’ll do it,” Trump was asked.

    “Yeah, at the appropriate time I’m going to do it,” Trump responded.

  23. While I appreciate the poll question, it is not the decision of the Merit Commission. The decision is the Prosecutor’s, and Nick Herrman isn’t going to risk getting on the wrong side of Hizzoner. Nick is one of the “young guns,” you know. A Special Prosecutor should be appointed.

    The Merit Commission should, however, discipline all of the officers who stood around laughing and using profane language, though.

    Do you ever get the feeling that Regulator and Pressanykey are trying to smother the police posts with a bunch of redundant Clinton/Trump posts ?

    They post that junk every day, and I cannot see anything is accomplishes except to distract away from any significant local comment.
