    Put this one up; If you could make $21.7 million dollars giving speeches for a few years would you do it?

    • Why is Trump running on “stirring up anger over Mexico and the wall?” Because he can’t run against the economy. All Trump can say is “Well…we can do better.” Here are some facts.
      According to the WSJ this weekend:
      1. The U.S. trade deficit narrowed in July as American exports picked up, a sign of strengthening global demand.
      2. The U.S. economy averaged adding 200,000 jobs per month over the last 12 months. Job growth over the last three months has averaged 232,000 jobs, near the highest level of the year.
      3. Several economic measures have easily surpassed benchmarks GOP/Republican candidates laid out four years ago in the last Presidential election. Republican nominee Mitt Romney, for example, promised to bring unemployment down to 6% by this year. His GOP challenger, Newt Gingrich, had promised to bring gas prices down to $2.50. Both have been exceeded by President Obama.

        “Amid efforts to create anxiety about the disappearance of factory jobs, thousands of them are going unfilled across the U.S. The number of open manufacturing jobs has been rising since 2009, and this year stands at the highest level in 15 years.”
        The cartoon/talk radio “conservatives” will try to talk about “labor force participation rate” and say people have quit looking for jobs cause “there ain’t any jobs!” But that is a lie. THIS stat proves that.

        • Rocketing sales of newly built homes are “a sign of solid momentum in the U.S. housing market,” said Eric Morath in The Wall Street Journal. Purchases of new single-family homes increased 12.4 percent in July from the month before to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 654,000, the highest level since October 2007, said the U.S. Department of Commerce. – Fueled by low mortgage rates and steady job growth.

    • She was not making speeches, she was selling access. What could she possibly have to say that anyone would want to pay $250,000.00 for?????? Nothing!

  2. The stock market has risen 11.8 percent on an annualized basis since President Obama took office, the third best performance during an American presidency since 1900. Bill Clinton was second at 15.9 percent.

    Time for a change. If Mop Head doesn’t make it to the finish line, maybe we can draft the Shrub – Cheney team back for another shot at it….

  3. TRUMP WENT TO MEXICO – details

    The “Trump Went to Mexico” trip hurt Trump badly because it was designed to “get voters other than the angry white men at the rallies” Trump must have if he has any chance to beat Hillary Clinton. The Trump campaign knows it needs more votes. Mexico was designed to show he can soften on the immigration issue.

    The wheels came off the moment Trump landed back in Arizona….and Trump was forced to retreat back to “the people who show up at the rallies.”

    The Wall Street Journal has a BLOW BY BLOW of the Mexico/Trump trip:
    ” At the press conference after the Nieto meeting, the Trump campaign got the photo op it wanted of Mr. Trump and a world leader. The size of the press turnout pleased the candidate. When asked if they discussed the GOP nominee’s proposed wall, Mr. Trump said they did, but not who would pay for it.

    Mr. Peña Nieto stayed silent. It wasn’t until landing in Phoenix that Mr. Trump saw the Mexican’s tweet about not paying. Mr. Trump and his team were stunned, advisers said. News reports were questioning why Mr. Trump didn’t discuss the payment issue at the joint press conference.

    Trump panicked and said “I have to add back the line that Mexico will pay,” Mr. Trump said after learning that Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto had tweeted that he had told the Republican presidential nominee during their private meeting earlier that day that his country would refuse to pay for the wall.

    Mr. Trump was peeved that Mr. Peña Nieto had gone public with the fact that the Mexican president had broken what Mr. Trump considered a deal to keep the question of paying for the wall off the table at their initial meeting.
    So Mr. Trump hurriedly inserted a new sentence in his immigration speech, and he soon boomed out from the podium his traditional declaration that the wall would be paid for by Mexico—adding, “They don’t know it yet but they’re going to pay for the wall.”

    “I had no choice, the people at the rallies would be upset.” Mr. Trump said in an interview on Thursday.

  4. Colin Kaepernick is just seeking attention. Apparently his career is coming to an end. He had several surgeries and is out of shape. I heard,but its just a rumour, that he converted to Islam. If that is true I wish some reporter with enough guts would asked him about gay marriage and sharia laws. I think that would cause more controversity than not standing for our national athem. (sorry for misspellings)
    When Kaepernick leaves the game he will not be known as a former quarterback for a professional football team. He will be remember for the guy that did not stand.
    If he really wanted to known for protesting. I suggest that every 3rd down play he takes a knee on the play and say this is for all the oppessed people.

    • Kapernick has a worthy cause, but I’m not sure he’s protesting in the right way. I think it is telling that the SF police are trying to deprive him of his First Amendment rights, by dereliction of duty. Just sayin’…. .

      • It’s not “duty” to provide protection at a football game. The police officers are hired off-duty cops pay for by the team owners. The only duty the duty the police officers have to perform is to protect the citizens of their community. If they chose not to work at a football game, while off-duty, that’s their right.

        • Spot on comment. It should come as no shock that police officers don’t want to spend their off-duty time working for a team whose QB wears cops = pigs socks and spends his days posting anti-police tweets.

          @LKB – nobody is trying to deprive anybody of their first amendment rights. Kaepernick is a big boy, free to exercise those rights AS WELL AS reap whatever consequences that entails. Honestly, I would think Kaepernick would be more comfortable without police officers present at his games. They are, after all, the number one cause of black male deaths in this country…*

    • There isn’t one listed in the online trackers. There have been a couple in Oklahoma, thanks to fracking, and one in California. Are you sure you didn’t just have gas?

  6. WOW! Today’s Evansville Courier&Press, page 11A, has a HUGE SCOOP for their readership: CLINTON LACKED SECRECY TRAINING, the headline reads.

    Lets see now, she was married to the lecherous impeached Bill Clinton during the 8 years he was President of the United States. A time period that spanned HP Net Servers and IBM Thinkpads and Sony Vaio laptops. Needless to say that security regulations for classified material during that time period would have covered the electronic spectrum. And needless to say since she was insinuating herself into government policy decisions, even though she held no elected office, so she would have known through contact with her husband about what you could and could not view, copy, transmit, or discuss in any way, with anyone who did not have a security clearance AND a need to know.

    Then there is her period as a Senator, where all this would have been explained to her again before she was ever able to sit on any committees where classified material was handled.

    Then she was Secretary of State for the Obama Administration, where the volumes of classified material she was exposed to increased by a sea change.

    Now she wants us to believe that with all this history, she never had the proper instruction in the handling of classified material?

    Do you know what State does? We have embassies and missions all over the world. There are many agencies housed within those embassies, and a significant portion of the communications between State and those embassies are classified. Day in, day out, two way communications that are highly encrypted. The most sensitive stuff you could possibly imagine. The Secretary sits at the top of the State Department, reporting to the President.

    Hillary Clinton and the media that has committed to supporting her think they can pull this “she lacked secrecy training” because they truly believe that the majority of Americans are stupid and gullible, and their propaganda will win out.

    • How stupid would ANYONE have to be to believe that the UNITED STATES SECRETARY OF STATE did not recieve any instruction in the handling of classified material.

      Hillary Clinton is an INCURABLE LIAR.

    3. How many times she used her authority to designate items classified

    6. How the data from her mobile devices was destroyed when she switched devices

    7. The number of times her staff was given a secure phone

    8. Why she didn’t get a secure Blackberry

    9. Receiving any emails she thought should not be on the private system

    10. Did not remember giving staff direction to create private email account

    11. Getting guidance from state on email policy

    12. Who had access to her Blackberry account

    13. The process for deleting her emails

    14. Ever getting a message that her storage was almost full

    15. Anyone besides Huma Abedin being offered an account on the private server

    16. Being sent information on state government private emails being hacked

    17. Receiving cable on State Dept personnel securing personal email accounts

    18. Receiving cable on Bryan Pagliano upgrading her server

    19. Using an iPad mini

    20. An Oct. 13, 2012, email on Egypt with Clinton pal Sidney Blumenthal

    21. Jacob Sullivan using personal email

    22. State Department protocol for confirming classified information in media reports

    23. Every briefing she received after suffering concussions

    24. Being notified of a FOIA request on Dec. 11, 2012

    25. Being read out of her clearance

    26. Any further access to her private email account from her State Department tenure after switching to her HRCoffice.com account

The only way she could have believed that is if she ACTUALLY thought that all the cover the media has provided her over the years has been effective.       2. Al posts “the US Debt Clock.” Al….Trump intends to add to the Debt at higher levels than have ever been considered, you know. He BRAGS he is “the King of Debt” and “I love debt,” and how he intends to use more of it.

  16. Just got through watching the footage of the Daniel Wooters shooting on the Courier Press Website.

    In 3 seconds Wooters is gunned down after exiting the police car, and he wasn’t even moving towards, or near a cop. Real big knife, too.

    Why shoot him in the leg when you can just kill a homeless man ? Yeah, I know he threatened a female cop with a small knife and stole a police car. Might have been drunk.

    Compared to similar situations I’ve witnessed on the television show COPS showing law enforcement officers in other states & in similar situations, the police in Evansville are cowards.

    I can’t see any rational person who would think that was giving someone an adequate opportunity to surrender themselves.

    The police in Indiana have really lobbied the government to make things nice for themselves.

    Three cowards: Jason Thomas, Zach Elfreich, Dexter Wolf.

    ..and the City-County Observer are cowards for not printing this post on their website.

    May god have no mercy on their souls.

I’d love to see the Courier-Press do an expose on the history and enactment of the ‘police tell to you to drop whatever is in your hands(car keys, pen, cell phone, etc.) and if you don’t they can shoot you dead with you family having to legal or financial recourse’ law, but I’m sure those ‘Yes Man’ wimps wouldn’t have the guts to do it.
