Encouraging students to succeed is so important and on Monday, community volunteers will travel to Lodge to give high-fives as a way to encourage students to do their best on ISTEP. At 7 Monday morning, city officials, community leaders, business owners, and more will come together to high-five students as they enter the building and begin preparing for the second round of ISTEP testing.  Some of the volunteers that will be at the school Monday include: Fabulous after 30, 98.5 Magic, The Bridge, YMCA, various city officials, uniformed officers, community leaders and business owners, plus the Commission of the Social Status of African American Males, Tri-State Glitter, and many others.
