Mastroianni makes debut with Minnesota Twins

Former University of Southern Indiana All-American baseball player Darin Mastroianni made his debut with the Minnesota Twins on May 10, starting in left field and and batting eighth against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto.

Mastroianni had made his Major League Baseball debut with the Blue Jays on August 24 last year.

Mastroianni, who went 0-3 in his first game with the Twins, was hitting .346 with Triple-A Rochester with two doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases in 19 games. He started the year with Minnesota’s Double-A team in New Britain.
