Gibbs Die Casting Corporation Provides Information on Workplace Fatality

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation today announced a workplace fatality of one of its Team Members at their Synchronous Plant on Ohio Drive in Henderson, Kentucky.  The accident occurred Saturday March 5th at approximately 9:20 am CST, and Senior Management was at the scene of the accident within a few minutes.

The following responded to the scene of the accident:  Henderson City/County Ambulance Service, Henderson City Fire Department, Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, Smith Mills Fire Department, Henderson County Coroner Office.

The accident was reported to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and their representatives were scheduled to be on site at the Synchronous Plant in Henderson today.

In a prepared statement, Gibbs Die Casting Corporation’s President and CEO Steve Church stated:  “Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the Team Member’s family, friends, and co-workers.  We respect their privacy and will not announce our Team Member’s name at this time.

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation is investigating the incident using both internal and external resources, and we will work in full cooperation with OSHA.”

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation has suspended all operations at the Synchronous Plant until at least Monday, March 7th.  The Company is making available counseling services for any Team Member who may require it.
