YESTERYEAR-Graham Brothers Truck Company Inn 1919

In 1919, Joseph, Robert, and Ray Graham announced plans to open a truck body fabrication center in Evansville. The Graham Brothers plant was located at 1625 N. Garvin and marked Evansville’s entry into a vehicle manufacturing era that spanned four decades. This image of the factory is dated 1920, a year before the company teamed with Dodge to build engines. By 1926, Graham was the largest truck manufacturer in the world, expanding operations into other cities. During the Depression, Chrysler acquired the plant to assemble Plymouth vehicles.
