Every year about this time, thousands of Firefighters from all over the world converge on Indianapolis for the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC). Aside from fire trucks, firefighting clothing and every type of firefighting equipment imaginable, you’ll easily find educational classes, seminars and competitions. One competition is the Combat Challenge.
Four Evansville Firefighters competed in 3 different categories and reaped the rewards. On Thursday Adam Brock, George Madison and Marc Schiele (sheely) took 3rd in the Team Event. On Friday Joey Jones joined the group and took 2nd in the Relay competition. To finish out the Challenge, Brock and Madison teamed up to win the Tandem competition on Saturday.
Congratulations for a great showing and bringing home the GOLD. What’s next? This weekend Brock & Madison will compete in Milford Ohio at another Regional competition.
