EPO Brass Musicians and EVSC Superintendent to Perform for High School Students

Thursday, 1:30 p.m., North High School;

Friday, 1:30 p.m., Reitz High School

Three Evansville Philharmonic brass musicians ( Tim Smith, Tim Zifer and Kevin Wilson) are donating their time and talent to visit local high schools and perform for the students during band classes, including excerpts of James Beckel’s “Concerto for Brass & Orchestra.”  EVSC Superintendent David Smith will join these musicians in playing the last selection and speak to the students, as well.

 Hook for your story — The Evansville Philharmonic Guild  and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time ever — is making free tickets available to all Tri-State students for the upcoming Brass, Brahms & Bravura! concert planned for January 23 at the Victory Theatre beginning at 7 PM.

Interested individuals can contact the EPO Box Office at 812-425-5050 for additional information on how to receive the FREE TICKET  or students in grades K-12, can come the night of the concert, Saturday, January 23, between 5 – 7 PM at the 6th Street doors of the Victory Theatre, to receive 1 free ticket.
