The EVSC has built in make-up days on Feb. 15, April 15, April 18 and May 20. The EVSC was also approved to do the Virtual Option for make up by the State Dept. of Education
We believe strongly in, whenever possible, making up school days as close to the day that is missed, as possible. So, any additional days we might have – we will make up on April 15 and April 18. We are holding on using May 20, as it is AFTER the last day of school and as we said last year – after the school year is over is not a great time to be making up snow days from the winter – as the educational benefit of the day is not very strong. We would like to try to avoid using May 20, unless absolutely necessary.
If we have a fourth snow day, then we would most likely use the Virtual Option and details would be disseminated to families. It would be done very similarly to what we did last year.
