IS IT TRUE WE HAVE BREAKING NEWS ? …we have just learned that the FOP has turned down the collective bargaining contract offer with The City of Evansville?  …the CCO predicted this would happen 3 weeks ago?
IS IT TRUEI that starting today IIT will posted three times a week? …you can expect to read IS IT TRUE on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week
IS IT TRUE we were given the attached e-mails by a couple of our EPD moles we found interesting? Â …e-mail #1 stated: “Because we are nearing the end of our budget cycle for the year, we have to track our purchases more closely? Â …effectively immediately, all tire replacements and repairs will need to be approved by the fleet manager before going to Raben”?
IS IT TRUE the other e-mail states: “Sergeants please read in roll call: Â effective immediately, Â the department funded car washes have been suspended until further notice? Â …I will send out an e-mail when we are allowed to resume.?
IS IT TRUE last week Evansville City government has given up on trying to collect a loan given three years ago to EARTHCARE?
IS IT TRUE that a couple members of our present City Council and Mayor Winnecke wasted $200,000 of our hard earned tax dollars on the failed Earthcare Energy Corporation project?  …City Council members who voted for this  political “pork barrel” project were Jonathan Weaver, Missy Mosby, Connie Robinson. Dan Adams and Coner O’Daniel?  …if City Council members and the Mayor made a $200,000 business decision mistake in the private sector they would had all been fired immediately?
IS IT TRUE back in 2012 City Council member Stephanie Brinkerhoff-Riley researched and learned that the website for Earthcare Energy LLC was no longer functional? …she also learned that Mr. Ken Haney, Steven Geldmacher, Ervin Washington back in 2012 renamed the enterprise as ENVIRO ENERGY LLC? …she also discovered that the website is the exact same website as the Earthcare Energy LLC site and still has the same news releases about meetings with the Department of Energy and an Indonesian business?  …Brinkerhoff-Riley also shared this information with fellow Council members, members of the main stream media and know one took no action to reverse the $200,000 loan?
IS IT TRUE the $200,000 EARTHCARE loan were administered locally by the Department for Metropolitan Development and vetted by GAUGE? Â …last week the City’s Loan Administration Board, quietly voted 5-0 to no longer pursue the 2012 $183,000 loan that is still owed to the City? Â …we find it interesting that 4th Ward City Councilwoman Connie Robinson voted to approve the $200,000 loan to EARTHCARE and turned around 3 years later and voted to forgive this loan?
IS IT TRUE DMD Â Director Kelley Coures stated he is working on an updated agreement on the ‘Revolving Loan Fund” that will bring more scrutiny to companies receiving these future high risk loans? Â …we have a suggestion to Mr. Coures what he can do with this useless, wasteful, Â political “pork barrel” Federal Loan program? …he should reject the grant and send the money back to Washington?
If you are trying to indicate the city is broke, that is simply not true. There is plenty of money for downtown projects to drive up downtown property values for those with investments there. There is also plenty of money for special interest if you vote. Now many programs under public safety like Fire, Police, and Code Enforcement simply do not need funding. If those items were fully funded then the city would not have money for the downtown. Just like the proposed land bank. Why fund basic government functions like Code Enforcement and demolition that would be in everyone’s best interest when you can gift $2.5 million to the Brownfields to practice special interest land control (land banking)?
“Mr. Coures what he can do with this useless, wasteful, political “pork barrel†Federal Loan program? …he should reject the grant and send the money back to Washington?”
1. This program does not have to be “useless, wasteful, or a political pork barrel”
2. There probably is no money to send back. Like the housing trust fund that was supposed to be revolving the DMD simply gave it away and although a few grumbled it was “OK”. There are always strings attached and it would not surprise me if the assets are gone but the liability to the taxpayer still exist.
3. This is just one of the loans. What is the status of others? Who is on this board? There may be lots of good things coming out of the program or it may be a complete failure.
4. $200,000 is nothing compaired to the resources evansville has – unless you live beside a grown up lot the city cannot afford to pay $75.00 to mow or you are a police officer driving a dirt covered car the city will not designate a few bucks for running it through the car wash.
The last potential problem regarding Earthcare is that it was the City of Evansville that first breached the agreement. Haney believed Earthcare was going to be the next Google and most likely blames Evansville for keeping him from his dreams by breaching the contract. When you see a signed release from Mr. Haney and his partners you can write this off. Until then there is a potential for a giant lawsuit. Earthcare’s argument will be rooted in what is known as “prevention doctrine”. That means he may allege that Evansville’s intentional breach of the contract prevented him from achieving success and furthermore tarnished his prospects of finding other funding. You may not have heard the last of Ken Haney.
Dear Evansville leaders. It has come to my attention that Evansville has been plagued by an explosion in the feral cat population. I am asking to for a $200,000 loan and free space to manufacture my latest invention to turn a cat problem into catnip. My company has worked with the government, engineers, and the humane society to produce spherical cages from laser cut carbon alloy material in which feral cats can be be trapped and kept in a safe and comfortable environment. These feline accommodations are fixed to high precision silicon ceramic bearings which allows a low resistant rotation as the felines stroll with in their spherical accommodations. With the attachment of a multi-v flat belt drive, we have discovered that these spherical accommodations could be joined to idle windmills by replacing the the wind turbines with multi groove lightweight sheaves. Fity felines housed in a 10 meter spherical nest and exercise apparatus can produce a whooping 5.3 KPH. With the strategic placement of cat litter boxes there is no environmental impact to the earth friendly invention. An added bonus to that out can be increased 4.7% during peak times by introducing a hamster to the fore-ramp, and increased by 10.2% with the introduction of canine chargers to the aft-ramp. Test are being performed on military bases around the world and we have the certain promise of maybe having a purchase order issued. Early reports indicate that government engineers are reporting they have not witnessed an invention since the Bike-O-Plane. Our profession in house proformas indicate that the feline turbine will surpass FaceBook revenue in two years.
Sincerly
Mr. Haney

I’ll take 2.
If they’re free I’ll take 3.
Yes, they only cost money which to Winnecke is free For the picking. DYK that Winnecke holds the patent on the money tree picker?
The EPD officers turning down the contract offered by the City just might grow into something of a problem for Bolin and Winky. I understand they don’t like the contribution to their health insurance that the contract requires. That may cause an epidemic of “blue flu.”
