The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team visits NCAA Division I foe University of Cincinnati in an exhibition game to begin the 2015-16 season Saturday at 2 p.m. (CST).

Saturday’s game will be aired on WPSR 90.7 FM, while live stats, audio, and video can be accessed at GoUSIEagles.com.

USI is coming off a 2014-15 campaign that saw it post a 25-7 overall record and a 15-3 mark in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. The Screaming Eagles advanced to the GLVC Tournament championship game before earning a berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time since 2010.

Junior guard Tanner Marcum (New Albany, Indiana) and sophomore guard/forward Kaydie Grooms (Marshall, Illinois) return to lead the Eagles, who lost seven seniors and three starters due to graduation. Marcum was second on the team a year ago with 11.3 points per game, while Grooms, who started all 32 games as a freshman, averaged 7.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per appearance.

The Eagles open the regular-season November 14 when they visit The University of Alabama-Huntsville.
