The Robert Stadium Task Force will meet Thursday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. at The Centre in the Walnut Rooms. Task Force Chairman Larry Steenberg will receive status reports from subcommittees reviewing ideas for future uses of Roberts Stadium in the categories of sports, parks and exposition center.

    • We can’t compete with theFORD CENTER.TEAR IT DOWN and build ball fields that will bring income into Evansville.

        The mayor has already stated that the ball fields idea on Roberts Stadium property is old news and it is time for the CVB to find a new location. He supports the ball fields idea but states it will not happen in Wesselman Park.

        Also, what is being discussed in these categories and ideas for Roberts WILL NOT COMPETE WITH THE FORD CENTER. They would be designed to offer the public additional options for events.
