  1. I took my wife to visit her elderly sister in Evansville early last evening, and My nose concluded that a few “Burma Shave” style signs would be appropriate on the route we traveled.
    sign #1 “No”
    #2 “Your”
    #3 “Passenger”
    #4 “Did not Crap”
    #5 “In their Pants”
    #6 “You are Now”
    #7 “Entering Evansville”
    #8 “Via Veterans Parkway”
    #9 “Next Exit- Old Downtown”

    • Great post !

Many times I have driven on Vet Parkway with one hand on the wheel and the other pinching my nose shut.

Question: it sounds like the Bee Slough wetlands is a major issue with the EPA re: CSO remediation. How did the idea of a wetlands vs. a traditional approach come about ? Which costs less ?

    • Yep that’s our gatway to the City from the South and East Side of town. People driving up Highway 41 North Bound turn off onto I-164/I69 and head North West to downtown have to go though this PLUME of putrid stink before they get to the Visitor’s Center. Disgraceful and a sign of this town’s improper management over the last 50 years. There is no excuse for that smell.

And the Mayor of Evansville, IN back in the 1980’s was given a report from the Evansville EPA pointing out that the problem came from the East Side Sewage Treatment plant. The report was generated and given to the Mayor at HIS REQUEST. Yet nothing has ever been done to correct the problem.

  2. I want to congratulate Matt Bevin for his GOP primary victory for governor of KY! Won in a landslide, 83 votes.

    • Last Year

Mitch McConnell “Matt Bevin is a dangerous loon”

KY Republican state party chairman “Matt Bevin is a con man and a pathological liar”

      Today:

      Mitch McConnell
“I congratulate Matt Bevin on his victory and endorse him for governor.”

BTW Bevin the “successful business man” had his business bailed out by the taxpayers.

    • Mitch McConnell is a Establishment Creep, and a albatross around the neck of the Republican Party, and this Country..
