FOOTNOTE: The big reason why the “Affordable Housing Trust Fund “cash balances’ is almost depleted is that the majority of Evansville City Council members recently voted to award a not-for-profit developer $400,000 for a housing project for the economically disadvantaged.

  1. Please do not defund the Police. It looks like the old switcheroo taking money allocated for the police and put into Housing fund. Then taking money from the public safety tax to put back into the police dept.
    I realize that every council member probably has a favorite place to give money to. We already gave $4oo,000 to a corporation for housing this year. But as Joe says Come on man!!! Lets see how much money we have in the budget before we start giving to Non-Profit.
