THUNDERBOLTS RETURN TO PEORIA FOR SINGLE GAME

Fresh off a big 5-1 victory against Quad City this past Saturday, the Thunderbolts set their sights ahead to the upcoming weekend, containing a single game in Peoria against the suddenly- struggling Rivermen.

Weekend In Review:

The Bolts would fall to Quad City on Friday night by a 4-0 score. The next night however the Thunderbolts would come alive and blast their way to a 5-1 victory in front of over 2,100 fans at the Ford Center. Mark Petaccio would lead the way with 2 goals and 2 assists, while Scott Donahue also had a big night, finishing with 2 goals and an assist. Braeden Ostepchuk was brilliant in net, stopping 30 of 31 shots faced.

    The Rivermen had a tough weekend out in North Carolina, losing both games against the Fayetteville Marksmen. On Friday, the Rivermen would get tallies from Justin Greenberg and Will Smith to rally from a 2-0 deficit in the third period, only to collapse and fall 5-2 in the end. The next night, the Rivermen led 3-2 in the third period off goals from Austin Frank, Austin Vieth and Ben Blasko, however the Marksmen would tie the game later in the third period, and win the game in sudden-death overtime, 4-3. Alec Hagaman would get tossed from the game and was suspended for the upcoming game on Saturday night.

    Call-up Report

    Mike Fazio played in two games with Wheeling this past weekend and scored his first ECHL goal in a 6-2 victory over the Indy Fuel. Tyler Howe has played continuously for the Atlanta Gladiators since being called up around a month ago. So far, Howe has played in 10 games for Atlanta.
