Steve Holland is promoted to Major over the Indiana State user29380-1384975232-media1_919191_191_240_PrsMe_Police Laboratory DivisionStatewide- Monday, November 18th, Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter promoted Lieutenant Steve Holland to the rank of Major, to serve as commander of the Indiana State Police Laboratory Division.

Major Holland has served as an Area Investigative Coordinator since 2004, before that he was the now closed Seymour Post’s Investigative Commander. Major Holland was appointed to the Indiana State Police in 1986 and served as a trooper in Jackson and Bartholomew Counties. He has served in a variety of other positions since that time including the positions of undercover drug investigator, detective, white collar crime investigator, and district squad sergeant.

Major Holland graduated from Paoli High School in 1982 and from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1986. Since joining the state police, Major Holland has also graduated from the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville in 1996 as well as the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in 1997.

Major Holland and his wife, Kimberly, reside in the Columbus area with their three children.
