  1. Trump Forced to Admit the Failure of His “Zero Tolerance” Border Solution

Giving in to concerns about safety and overcrowding, the Trump administration has been forced to release hundreds of detained migrants from federal facilities and stop detaining any more attempting to enter the United States without documentation

This move proves that Trump’s “zero tolerance” policy of arresting and incarcerating migrants has been a failure which has caused many more problems than it solved

Border Patrol has already released several hundred migrants from detention centers due to severe overcrowding in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities. One group of 200 migrants were released into Wednesday while 50 more were released the day before

ICE has stated there will be more releases from ICE facilities every day until the number of detainees is reduced to “manageable” levels

The new program is at odds with Trump’s opposition to the practice called “catch and release” where families who are detained after crossing the border are later released. Trump has often railed against the policy

Conditions at ICE detention facilities have come under scrutiny over the past year. There have been charges of abuse as well as the deaths of multiple children in the custody of the Border Patrol

Trump’s immigration policies have clearly failed. Nothing he has done has come close to solving any real problems with immigrants. Now he has been forced to admit that his policies have actually created problems, including abuse and deaths of children

Donald Trump’s presidency has failed, and it’s time for new leadership to address and provide real solutions to the problems of our country

    • Typical liberal, the hatred of this country by democrats is part of their history. The democrats hate the Trump Zero tolerance for illegals because they need open borders to stay in or get in power. The immigration problem will never be solved as long as there is a democrat party. Trump may well be the last American President, so great to have a leader who loves this country. Democrats have been fortunate to be citizens of this great country but they’ll never be Americans. So glad AOC has exposed the democrats endgame before it was fully ready for implementation. The 48 goals developed by the communist as outlined in the “Naked Communist” have been fully implemented by the socialist arm or communist arm of the democrat party.

    • Does anyone else remember this portion of the Marines’ Hymn? …From the Halls of Montezuma, To the shores of Tripoli; We fight our country’s battles… Tripoli, what could that have been about?

      America’s 233-Year-Old Shock at Jihad
      By Raymond Ibrahim

Exactly 233 years ago this week, two of America’s founding fathers documented their first exposure to Islamic jihad in a letter to Congress; like many Americans today, they too were shocked at what they learned.

Context: in 1785, Muslim pirates from North Africa, or “Barbary,” had captured two American ships, the Maria and Dauphin, and enslaved their crews. In an effort to ransom the enslaved Americans and establish peaceful relations, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams — then ambassadors to France and England respectively — met with Tripoli’s ambassador to Britain, Abdul Rahman Adja. Following this diplomatic exchange, they laid out the source of the Barbary States’ hitherto inexplicable animosity to American vessels in a letter to Congress dated March 28, 1786:

We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the grounds of their [Barbary’s] pretentions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The ambassador answered us that it was founded on the laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise…

The punishments these European slaves received for real or imagined offenses beggared description: “If they speak against Mahomet [blasphemy], they must become Mahometans, or be impaled alive. If they profess Christianity again, after having changed to the Mahometan persuasion, they are roasted alive [as apostates], or thrown from the city walls, and caught upon large sharp hooks, on which they hang till they expire.”…

Eaton eventually managed to reach and conquer Tripoli’s coastal town of Derne on April 27, 1805. Less than two months later, on June 10, a peace treaty was signed between the U.S. and Tripoli, formally ending hostilities.

Thus and despite the (rather ignorant) question that became popular after 9/11, “Why do they hate us?” — a question that was answered to Jefferson and Adams 233 years ago today — the United States’ first war and victory as a nation was against Muslims, and the latter had initiated hostilities on the same rationale Muslims had used to initiate hostilities against non-Muslims for the preceding 1,200 years.

  2. GOP Efforts To Get Clinton Backfire And Gut Trump On Mueller Report

The Republican efforts to get Hillary Clinton when they controlled Congress has backfired and will hurt Trump‘s effort to bury the Mueller report

Judiciary Committee said Republicans efforts over the last two years to force the public release of elements of the Russia probe, as well as the investigation of Hillary Clinton‘s email server, had armed Democrats with an argument to require significant disclosure of the Mueller findings

“Republicans have really shot themselves in the foot with what they approved. They really undermined any argument Barr might want to make that there’s longstanding precedent”

House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff made a similar argument on Friday night “In the last Congress, the Justice Department provided over 880,000 pages of discovery of evidence to the Republican Congress in the answer to subpoenas that in an investigation that the Clinton e-mail investigation in which no one was indicted. Information about Hillary Clinton, Bruce Orr, Andy Mccabe, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. For the department to maintain they never provide information in cases that doesn’t result in an indictment is simply not true and 880,000 pages demonstrate that”

Republicans screwed themselves when they went after Clinton‘s emails. The bogus Hillary Clinton email investigation is the groundwork for the DOJ to be forced to release the Meuller report. Because Republicans got the DOJ to release so much evidentiary material, it will be impossible for Barr to argue in court that the Mueller report must remain classified

It is a bit of poetic justice that the House Republican abuse of power in the Clinton email investigation is about to come back to haunt them and provide the ammo needed to get the Mueller report released

Republicans can thank Paul Ryan, Devin Nunes, and the rest of the Republican House when Mueller‘s report is made public, and voters get to see his findings about Trump

    • Left-Media In Tears as Mueller Report Fails to Indict Trump, Family, Inner Circle

The Robert Mueller investigation into “Russia Collusion” is over and it has not only found no collusion, but the final report will not ask for any more indictments or prosecutions. And now the media has broken out into sobs of regret that they vested all their hopes for the destruction of Trump in this report that ultimately does nothing at all.

      • Yawn! Another right-wing BS blog with zero credibility. Joey is worried his schtick is done

The Triumphalism Over the Mueller Report Is Overblown

We don’t know what’s in the Mueller report

We know that Joseph Mifsud, a professor with connections to high-ranking Russian officials, told George Papadopolous about “dirt” Russia had on Hillary Clinton in the form of emails when Papadopoulos was an adviser to the Trump campaign. Papadopoulos later lied about the timing to federal investigators to make it sound as if he learned this information before becoming an adviser to the campaign

We know that Roger Stone communicated with Wikileaks, which operated as a cutout for the Kremlin. Stone was contacted by Trump campaign officials about future releases from Wikileaks, which falsely denied its communications with Stone. Stone said to someone involved with the Trump campaign: “Spoke to my friend in London last night. The payload is still coming.” After the Podesta emails were first released, an associate of the Trump campaign official sent Stone a text message saying “Well done”

We know that Paul Manafort was a lobbyist for Putin-connected former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. We know Manafort was later convicted of filing false tax returns, bank fraud, failing to disclose a foreign bank account, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and witness tampering. He was also the chairman of Trump’s campaign, and in that capacity, with Trump’s son and son-in-law, met with a woman with connections to high-ranking Kremlin officials hoping to get dirt on Hillary Clinton

We know that Michael Cohen wrote letters to senior Kremlin officials pursuing Trump Tower Moscow well into the presidential campaign, and lied about this to Congress to foster a false narrative that the campaign was not involved in any attempts to conduct business in Moscow

We know that Michael Flynn asked a member of Trump’s presidential transition team about what to tell the Soviet ambassador regarding an issue of recent sanctions imposed on Russia by the Obama administration. The transition official discussed the fact that the transition team did not want the situation to escalate, which Flynn told the Russian ambassador. Putin decided not to retaliate. Flynn then lied about all of this to the FBI

Smells like vindication to you? OK. It probably is vindication on direct collusion in the sense of conspiring to hack emails, something nobody but insane Resistance types ever believed. To many of us, it’s something short of vindication on the issue of queasy connections between a presidential campaign and one of our enemies

Maybe tamp down the triumphalism a bit there, sport

  3. Not sure who is crazier, RR or Ilhan Omr:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) spoke to a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser in Woodland Hills, California, on Saturday evening and suggested that President Donald Trump was to blame for the recent terror attack against Muslims in New Zealand….

In 2007-8, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. That case, in turn, led the FBI to discontinue its work with the organization. In 2009, a federal judge ruled that the government “produced ample evidence to establish” the ties of CAIR with Hamas, the Palestinian terror organization. The United Arab Emirates labeled CAIR a terrorist organization in 2014 (a decision that the Obama administration opposed).

The political action committee of CAIR in California donated the maximum of $5,000 to Omar’s 2018 campaign.

In 2015, CAIR’s Los Angeles director suggested that the U.S. was partly to blame for the San Bernardino terror attack, in which 14 people were killed, due to American foreign policy. CAIR also offered legal assistance to the family of the terrorists who carried out the attack.

In her speech, Omar said that despite Muslims’ efforts to fit in in America, “no matter how much we have tried to be the best neighbors,” they still faced prejudice. As a result, she said, they had to “raise hell. Make people uncomfortable.”

  4. Democrats are already looking like fools. Liberals claim to be the smartest people in our country because they have degrees with no currency. Most appear to have graduated from the Ozian University. It’s hard to imagine there are people who would actually vote for Maxine Waters, Cummins, AOC, Blumenthall, Pelosi, and just about all the current congressional democrats. Remember it was Pelosi who damaged Obama’s administration the most. Look at any state with long time democrat control and get the vision of the democrat plan for America.

  6. Trump Isn’t Off The Hook

If Mueller’s findings were such great news for Trump, the White House would have been demanding that the report be released yesterday. This is a spin job by the administration and the Republican Party. They are trying to spin the findings of the report before anyone has seen it

The reality is that the Mueller report might end up being key evidence leading to the impeachment of Trump

Trump’s problems will get much worse when the report is released, which is why the White House is preemptively spinning while doing nothing to call for the public release of Mueller’s report

The nation has entered the calm before the storm

    • Read Special Counsel Mueller’s report for yourself. Don’t let the leftist media and RR Trump Derangement Syndrome victims like RR tell you what it said:

FULL LETTER: AG Bill Barr Releases Letter Summarizing Mueller’s Report: “NO COLLUSION – NO CONSPIRACY”

Attorney General Bill Barr released his letter to Congress Sunday afternoon summarizing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

BREAKING: AG Bill Barr Releases Letter Summarizing Mueller’s Report: “Special Counsel DID NOT FIND Trump Campaign Conspired with Russia”

      • BREAKING: Joey flunked reading since Special Counsel Mueller’s report has NOT been released. Even Cheetolini and his minions have not seen it yet, and the letter from Fatboy Barr is a summary, genius. Once again, the right wing spreads BS and lies

When Will We Read the Full Mueller Report?
        March 26, 2019 12:30 PM EST

On Sunday, Attorney General William Barr delivered a brief, narrow summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year investigation into the Trump campaign’s relationship with Russia

As many have argued, a four-page summary of a massive investigation written by someone who has demonstrated a bias against said investigation should not be considered a definitive assessment. Regardless of what the White House says, Mueller’s findings cannot be truly understood until the complete report is released. Unfortunately, it’s up to Barr to determine how much of it will see the light of day, as Trump makes sure to note whenever reporters ask him whether he thinks the public should see the report. “It’s up to the attorney general but it wouldn’t bother me at all” Trump said on Monday.

Apparently, the Republicans do not want it released. Last week Sen. Lindsey Graham blocked the Senate from voting on a resolution calling for the report’s full release that had been passed by the House of Representatives by a vote of 420-0. On Monday Senate Majority Leader Mitch “Turtle” McConnell blocked an effort to unanimously pass the same measure. The move was applauded by Sen. Marco Rubio

If Republicans like McConnell actually believe Barr’s assessment that the report exonerates the president, they should be demanding its release

“Special Counsel Mueller worked for 22 months to determine the extent to which President Trump obstructed justice. Attorney General Barr took 2 days to tell the American people that while the President is not exonerated, there will be no action by DOJ” per Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, who plans to call Barr in to testify about the “very concerning discrepancies and final decision making at the Justice Department following the Special Counsel report”

  7. By Law Mueller’s Counterintelligence Report Must Be Made Public

Under Department of Justice (DOJ) guidelines Robert Mueller had to submit a report on his findings of criminal conduct to Attorney General William Barr, who may or may not release this so-called “criminal report” to Congress and to the public

Mueller will also issue a second report called the “counterintelligence report” that CANNOT be kept from either Congress or the public by Barr, Trump, or anyone else, per federal statute. This report that will address whether there was collusion between Russia and Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign

“From the very beginning, Mueller has worn two hats and borne two missions relating to the Russia investigation” wrote Nelson Cunningham, a former federal prosecutor and former White House counsel

“The most public and familiar one is as a criminal investigator under the special counsel regulations. But Mueller has also carried a second larger duty (as a counterintelligence expert) to determine and report the scope of interference and links to the Trump campaign and their collusion”

The Russia probe first began as a counterintelligence investigation. The counterintelligence investigation must produce a report which will be shared with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) along with all other agencies in the 17-member intelligence community

This report details Russia’s efforts to interfere in 2016, as well as any links or cooperation between the Russians and the Trump campaign, and will disclose whether Trump and/or his associates and family members were intelligence assets being used by the Russians

The criminal elements of Mueller’s investigation were contained in the report that William Barr received on Friday. He might try to keep that report secret, but in fact the criminal aspects of Mueller’s probe have already been farmed out to other federal prosecutors, including the Southern District of New York (SDNY)

In short, Trump’s possible treason and conspiracy against the United States will soon be known to the American people. And he will soon be paying the price for those crimes

The rare wisdom of our president is a gift
    By Don Sucher

Politicians are used to seeing cowardice and being cowards. So used to it are they that they cannot even imagine there being another way.

Our president has proven to be quite different. He is fearless. He is bold. He acts. He accomplishes. (What he would be accomplishing if those in his party had the courage to support him is hard to conceive.) If one takes a moment to look at his brilliance, it is a truly rare and beautiful thing.

First off, the attacks were made to wear him down and wear him out. To make him sue (and compromise) for peace. He did not.

Two, they thought they could make him overreact, go beyond his jurisdiction. He did not do that, either.

Three, when attacks on him directly failed, they went after his family. The media in the end were saying his children were going to be indicted. He did not wince. (Neither did they.)

And what is even more an indicator of genius is that often the very thing that drove his enemies mad — and made it obvious to onlookers that they were mad (and thus not be believed) was seen by his supporters in a positive light. His good humor, for instance.

This is a rare form of leadership — temperance crossed with almost outlandish boldness. (How often can those two words describe the same man at the very same time?) Thank God, it is rarely needed.

That the “wise” cannot see this is to be expected. They worship what they themselves are: wordy, hapless, false, and ineffective.

Our president is none of these things. He is truly something else. Something rare. Something wonderful.

To think this nation received such a leader at this critical time by mere chance is to this writer unimaginable.

    • Nice. If there is such a thing as a self respecting democrat she should be ashamed of herself. Democrats have become self described domestic enemies of the constitution and this country. The communist have worked to fully infiltrate the democrat party since the thirties and have finally succeeded. Democrats are so needy and have an entitlement mentality that the communist had no problems converting them. What is so frightening is that they have apparently infiltrated our key institutions. Brennan, a self confessed communist made it to the top of the CIA with assistance from comrade Obama.

  10. GOP Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-Tx) Releases Statement That Suggests The New Zealand Shooter Had Reasonable Concerns About Immigrants

Gohmert suggested that the alleged shooter’s apparent motivations were valid concerns that could have been addressed through either the courts or the legislature

According to a manifesto the suspected gunman allegedly published before his attack, he was seemingly motivated by far-right extremism, including elements of white supremacy, xenophobia, and Islamophobia. Gohmert’s statement implies that these are all reasonable concerns and ideas to have. What Gohmert appears to find objectionable is merely the gunman’s decision to take matters into his own hands and resorting to violence, instead of using a state-run apparatus to obtain a remedy

Gohmert’s office did not respond to a request for clarification regarding the statement, and he was one of 24 House Republicans who refused to vote for last week’s resolution condemning bigotry

    • I just read Gohmert’s statement and it takes a twisted mind to derive from it what you are repeating from the Think”Regress” blog. Your posts always seem to be a regurgitation of others’ mindless poison. Perhaps a little intellectual exercise of your own might give your posts a little more…gravitas?

      • Study Links Low Intelligence With Right-Wing Beliefs

Researchers have found a possible explanation for why certain people are prejudiced: they’re less intelligent. Children with lower general intelligence are more likely to become prejudiced as adults

The study, published in the journal Psychological Science, examined data from two large-scale studies and found lower intelligence scores in childhood were predictors of greater racism in adulthood, which the researchers controversially explain is brought about by adopting right-wing ideologies

A secondary analysis of data also showed those with poor abstract-reasoning skills were more likely to have anti-homosexual prejudice, partially linked to authoritarian attitudes

Lead researchers showed that the results of the study indicate a vicious cycle, in which people with low intelligence are drawn to socially conservative ideologies. In turn, those ideologies can contribute to prejudices

The researchers found that people with lower intelligence also tended to have less contact with other races and groups, which supports previous research that determined to interact with other groups is mentally challenging and cognitively draining

      • Guess this leaves you, Joey, pig73, and al in the “dumb as a bag of hammers” category

Highly Educated Americans Are Getting More Liberal

The most educated Americans have grown increasingly liberal over the last couple of decades. A report from the Pew Research Center finds a wide partisan gap between highly educated and non-highly-educated Americans. Not only that but the share of college grads and post-graduates who are “consistently liberal” has grown sharply in the last 20 years

In 1994 7% of post-grads were “consistently liberal” and 1% of people with high school educations or less were not much of a difference. Today the gap is 25 points wide, 31% of people with post-grad educations are consistently liberal, compared to 5% of those with high school educations or less

The same kind of change hasn’t happened on the conservative side. Split it out by party, and the shift is even starker. Among the post-grad set, more than half of Democrats and Democratic-leaners today are “consistently liberal” up from fewer than one-in-five in 1994. Likewise, among college grads, it jumped from 12 to 47

This squares with something Pew found previously, that while the partisan identification of people without college degrees have held steady over the last couple of decades, people with college degrees increasingly identify as Democratic or lean that way

“There’s some pretty good evidence that going to college leads people to have more liberal attitudes on social issues, in particular on issues of tolerance, of difference and issues of gender equity,” said Neil Gross, a sociology professor at Colby College, who has studied liberalism at colleges

The whole nation is becoming more ideologically polarized. And lots of reasons have been proposed for why that polarization may have happened: distrust in government, the racial and religious politics of the 1960s and 70s, even income inequality. So it would make sense that these postgrads and college grads moved farther away from the center

Research shows that Democrat-leaning and Democratic highly educated people were somewhat more likely to be consistent. According to Gross if highly educated people are simply more predisposed to being ideologically consistent, and that may mean they were particularly affected by the forces of polarization over the last 20 years

“We’ve known for a while that people with more education tend to be more ideologically consistent than people with less education. In some sense it’s not surprising to see that polarization and party sorting is happening most among people who are super highly educated”

It’s not that conservatives haven’t grown more conservative over the years. According to the data, both sides have polarized. It’s just that conservatives don’t have this kind of education-related pattern

If ideological polarization is real, where is conservatives’ rightward shift showing up? According to Pew, age is one big area. Republican and GOP-leaning Baby Boomers and Generation Xers have shifted rightward since the 1990s

  11. Time for RR and fellow socialists to find a safe place as the Wall Street Journal has finally got this right:

WSJ: Time for Obama Admin to Account for ‘Historic Abuse of Government Surveillance Powers’

Wall Street Journal assistant editor James Freeman and Sen. Rand Paul are on the same page: the Mueller report confirms it is now time for the Obama administration to account for its flagrant abuse of the surveillance powers of the federal government.

While Democrats and other members of the “Resistance” flail about in the wake of news the Robert Mueller investigation did not find evidence that President Donald Trump’s campaign “conspired or coordinated” with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election, Freeman observed Monday the report confirms it is former President Barack Obama who “owes the country an explanation” for his administration’s “historic abuse of government surveillance powers.”

    Freeman wrote:

The Mueller report confirms that the Obama administration, without evidence, turned the surveillance powers of the federal government against the presidential campaign of the party out of power. This historic abuse of executive authority was either approved by President Barack Obama or it was not. It’s time for Mr. Obama, who oddly receives few mentions in stories about his government’s spying on associates of the 2016 Trump campaign, to say what he knew and did not know about the targeting of his party’s opponents.

    • McConnell Uses Mueller Report To Place Blame On Obama

On Congress’ first day back in Washington since Attorney General Bill Barr released his summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell swiftly used the four-page letter to criticize former President Obama

McConnell argued that the report shows that Obama was unprepared to address Russian election meddling efforts, but the majority leader conveniently ignored his reported attempts to water down the Obama White House’s attempts to call out the Russia interference efforts ahead of the 2016 election.

In early September of 2016, FBI, CIA, and NSA leadership arrived on Capitol Hill in a caravan of black SUVs for a meeting with 12 key members of Congress, including the leadership of both parties. The Democrats advised to tell the public, but Republicans resisted, arguing that to warn the public that the election was under attack would further Russia’s aim of sapping confidence in the system

The Obama administration did seek bipartisan congressional support for a statement warning states to protect their election infrastructure against Russian hacking attempts. And McConnell reportedly said that any attempt by the administration to publicly address the Russians would be considered a partisan move. Congressional leaders ultimately signed off on a letter, but former Obama chief of staff Denis McDonough said the letter was “dramatically watered down” thanks to pushback from McConnell

But yes, it’s Obama who should apologize for the Russian hacking. Unbelievable

  12. Devin Nunes: No ‘Republicans Or Any American Should Be Celebrating’ Until ‘Bad Cops’ Get Punished

Nunes warns conservatives not to be complacent as the individuals who perpetrated the conspiracy against President Trump must be put to justice.

While most conservatives are jumping for joy following the end of FBI spook Robert Mueller’s Russian collusion investigation which cleared President Trump of any wrongdoing, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) remains focused on making sure “bad cops” within the deep state are brought to justice after perpetrating this costly fraud on the American public.

Nunes said on Friday that the official end of Mueller’s special investigation marks “the unraveling of the biggest scandal in American history, the biggest political scandal in American history.” Much more work needs to be done before this dark, embarrassing chapter of US history can come to a close….

“We are working on a criminal referral, so many of the dirty cops, people will find out who actually we believe those dirty cops are. We’ll be sending that to Attorney General Barr among other names I think people will be surprised at,” Nunes added.

    • Attorney Bursts Trump Boosters “No Collusion” Celebration Bubble: SDNY Ain’t A Fishing Expedition

A Manhattan criminal defense attorney bashed Trump and his cronies for prematurely celebrating the “no collusion” findings in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report

MSNBC host Kendis Gibson noted that Trump has called Mueller’s investigation a “fishing expedition” and caused lawyer Randy Zelin to point out that the other probes into his alleged wrongdoing, especially in his and the president’s shared backyard, are still ongoing and could still hurt him

“You have Michael Cohen, who’s already pleaded guilty, you have evidence of campaign finance violations, you have investigations into Trump Organization business dealings, insurance fraud, tax fraud, all kinds of fraud which are unrelated to the Russia investigation. So how does the Mueller report extricate the president from his problems?”

When asked if he would be celebrating with the president if he were at Mar-a-Lago the attorney said “I would not”

  13. Looks like Joey owes an APOLOGY for his racist posts about Jussie

Cook County Prosecutors Drop All Charges Against “Empire” Actor Jussie Smollett

In a stunning reversal, Cook County prosecutors on Tuesday dropped all charges against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett on disorderly conduct charges for allegedly staging a phony attack and claiming he was the victim of a hate crime

“We believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case,” a prosecutor said in announcing the dismissal of all 16 counts

“Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him. Jussie was attacked by two people he was unable to identify on January 29th. He was a victim who was vilified and made to appear as a perpetrator as a result of false and inappropriate remarks made to the public causing an inappropriate rush to judgment” a statement from his legal team announced

“Jussie and many others were hurt by these unfair and unwarranted actions. This entire situation is a reminder that there should never be an attempt to prove a case in the court of public opinion. That is wrong. It is a reminder that a victim, in this case, Jussie, deserves dignity and respect. Dismissal of charges against the victim, in this case, was the only just result” the statement continued

“Jussie is relieved to have this situation behind him and is very much looking forward to getting back to focusing on his family, friends, and career”

    • Three Left-Wing College Students Arrested for Setting Conservative Student’s Dorm On Fire

Three left-wing college students in Louisiana have been arrested for setting the dorm room of a conservative student on fire.

The dorm room of Peyton Lofton, who is president of Tulane’s chapter of the conservative campus group Turning Point USA, found his room in flames this month. The fire was set by people he did not even know, police said.

TPUSA chief Charlie Kirk made note of the vandalism on Twitter. “This is Peyton Lofton, our chapter leader for @TPUSA at Tulane,” Kirk wrote. “He was recently doxxed by the violent left for being a conservative. Last night his dorm room door was literally SET ON FIRE after he was doxxed.”…

“It’s a sad day in America when radical activists are lighting dorm room doors on fire because they disagree with you politically,” Lofton said in a statement.

“I’m proud of the work I’m doing on and off campus with YAL and TPUSA to bring students to the principles of the Constitution and individual liberty,” the victim added. “This only encourages me to continue the battle to reach my classmates with the message of freedom.”

Mike Strecker, a spokesman for the school, told the media that they aren’t sure if the act was politically motivated.

Come on. Three people who never met the victim, sought him out and vandalized his room after his personal information was leaked? And it’s not political???

    • Chicago is so corrupt that not even their Demo Mayor can control it anymore. Don’t forget this is the same Chicago that eliminated their gang data base because it had to many African-Americans in it and therefor was discriminatory.

  14. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel strongly condemned the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office decision to drop all charges against Jussie Smollett, calling it a “whitewash of justice.”

“This is a whitewash of justice,” Emanuel said Tuesday afternoon during a fiery press conference alongside Chicago police superintendent Eddie Johnson. “A grand jury could not have been clearer.” In a stunning reversal, all charges were dropped against Smollett Tuesday morning by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. The “Empire” star was indicted on 16 felony counts of disorderly conduct earlier this month. He was accused of lying to police regarding a Jan. 29 incident, in which he said he was randomly attacked by two men shouting racial and homophobic slurs in his Chicago neighborhood….

Emanuel, frequently pointing his finger at the cameras and raising his voice, argued the grand jury’s decision was reason for going forward with the case against Smollett. He pointed out that the grand jury handed out those indictments “based on only a piece of the evidence that the police had collected,” and added that $10,000 that Smollett is forfeiting “doesn’t even come close to what the city spent in resources.”

Both Emanuel and Johnson remained adamant that Smollett committed a hoax by falsely reporting a hate crime.

“If he wanted to clear his name the way to do that was in a court of law so that everyone could see the evidence,” said Johnson. Added Emanuel: “Mr. Smollett is still saying that he is innocent, still running down the Chicago Police department. How dare him. How dare him. After everybody saw – and I want to remind you, this is not the Superintendent’s word against his – a grand jury, a sliver of the evidence, and they came to a conclusion. As did the State’s Attorney’s office.”

  15. Blocking my 1st Amendment rights. I asked why you let JB and RR spout about topics NOT related to topic. Yes, care deeply about National matters, but WHY do you allow these left/right wingers post their crap, when it does not pertain to Evansville topics. It matters more to us Evansville people about the shit Winky and his Hitler Youth are pulling over the tax payers of Eville/Vand Co. If you don’t post honest ??????s about the stupidity, well, you are right there with the idiot law makers we now have to face!!!!

    • My dad told me at a young age, “You can’t tell a man how to run his business. If you are so smart, start your own.”

Personally I get a kick out of RR and Joe Mesker Biden. And especially the Ultimate Maximo Poster, (Drum Roll Please), shar pie.

To me, the READERS FORUM is exactly what they should be doing. I get a lot of good information out of RR’s posts but until Joe started copy&pasting, I shied away from his BS because of too much spam.

But now I read the BS.

Bottom line; Joe has improved, RR is on his ass like a Rhino on a poacher and you need to complain about them on the IS IT TRUE forum Taker because I would totally agree with you there. Local only.
