Obituary for Bernard Sparks “Sparky” Perrette

Bernard Sparks “Sparky” Perrette, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Sparky was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 7, 1946 to the late Jack and Aileen (Bowers) Perrette. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam and retired from General Foods and Pepsi after many years of service. Sparky was a member of the Marine Corps League, the VFW Post 1114 and the Retired Veterans Memorial Club performing military funerals. He was also a member of Crossroads Christian Church being involved with the church choir. Sparky enjoyed helping Toys for Tots and being active with the Point Man Ministries.

Sparky is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (Grove) Perrette of Evansville, IN; his daughters, Stacy Payton (Lance) of Evansville, IN, Shannon Shoulders (Ben) of Evansville, IN, Stephanie Pingsterhaus (Troy) of Aviston, IL; grandchildren, Drew, Luke and Isabel Payton, Emma, Sadie and Parker Shoulders, Avery, Reed and Tate Pingsterhaus

Sparky was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jacaleen Langton and a brother, William Perrette.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Paul Linge officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military honors.

Friends may visit from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home where Marine Corps League 1090 will conduct a service at 6:00 PM and again from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday.
