Sophomore swimmer Eli James was named Swimmer of the Week this morning by the Mid-American Conference.
James receives the honor after leading the Aces to a victory over Eastern Illinois on Wednesday night.
He took the win in the 100 breaststroke, his time of 59.11 two seconds ahead of 2nd place. He also won the 200 breaststroke by nearly 5 seconds with a 2:13.69.
James is the first Evansville athlete to receive the MAC honor since 2015.
He and the rest of the Aces return to take on Ball State in Muncie on Friday night.
