IS IT TRUE  on Sunday only a hand full of people attended a political gathering at the local Democratic Headquarters to work on getting out the vote for Hillary Clinton?  … past Mayor Weinzapfel brought his son to this gathering so he could teach him more about politics? …Mr. Weinzapfel never made a comment during the meeting? …we commend Mr. Weinzapfel  for taking the time to give his son a teachable moment about politics?  …we wish other parents would do similar? …it looks like the “Join Senator Joe Donnelly for the Canvass Kickoff” campaign for Hillary Clinton was not that successful ?

IS IT TRUE it looks like there will not be a Congressional debate between Republican Congressmen Larry Bucshon and his primary challenger Dr. Richard Moss of Jasper?  …we wonder why the local media hasn’t arrange a formal debate between the two gentlemen?

IT TRUE Ann Ennis, candidate for State Representative District 64 has put more than 1,300 miles on her car odometer since filing on February 4 on strictly district-event and constituent meetings? …Ms. Ennis has attended 97 district government and school meetings, and events, dinners, auctions, parks, study groups and other events in the district since she announced as a candidate?

IS IT TRUE the President of the Vanderburgh County Commissioner, Bruce Ungethiem, is telling people that he feels former Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave is by far the most qualified of the three candidates running for that seat in the upcoming Republican primary?

IS IT TRUE the Mayor’s hand picked candidate Alex Schmitt has raised nearly three times as much as his opponents because of donors, contractors and consultants who have heavily supported the mayor in  his re-election campaign?

IS IT TRUE we are being told by many  of our Republican friends that they are offended by Mayor Winnecke’s wife, Carol McClintock openly promoting Alex Schmitt’s campaign on her social media pages?  …on May 3, 2016 Carol McClintock shall see how everyday people regard her political opinions?

IS IT TRUE we are surprised to hear that County Commissioner candidate Cheryl Musgrave enjoys the support of the Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau, Inc. and the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association political action committees?  …we are even more surprised that she has the early support of four past local GOP  Party Chairmen,  Jeff Hatfield, Bob Whitehouse, Brent Grafton and Joe Harrison  Jr.?  …this is what we call political courage?

IS IT TRUE Alex Schmitt had to get party chairman Wayne Parke’s permission to run as a Republican  for the County Commission seat because he voted in last year’s Democratic Party primary election?  …all we can say about this is “WOW”?

IS IT TRUE  Mayor Winnecke is telling people Alex Schmitt has the attributes of a bright young potential leader with a positive, collaborative message similar to his own?  …all we can say is “Really”?

FOOTNOTE: Todays “READERS POLL” primary election polling question is: Who do you endorse in the Republican primary for Vanderburgh County Commissioner?

  1. So Win-Icky lends his massive political influence to the Kasich campaign effort in Indiana. Then Kasich opts to take a pass on Indiana. Sounds about right.

    • It seems that Santa Lloyd Winnie has challenges when selecting the winning horse. Remember Marsha Abell, and of course the then county councilman who replaced the Master Book Juggler a/k/a Russ Lloyd’s spot when he became the controller or in his case the the out-of-controller. Both lost miserably. So, if anybody thinks about running for office and receives the blessings from Sir Lloyd Winnie. BEWARE!!!!

        • Hey, you forgot about soon to be loser dead-beat Alex Schmitt for County Commissioner. Wonder if the days and nights with Christmas Carol (a/k/a McClintoch) to get their puppet head a/k/a Messy Nosby election. Remember landslide Mosby wins by literally by a nose. (12 votes).

  2. HILLARY CLINTON made today’s IIT!
While Trump and Canadian-born Latino Cruz grapple inside their burning GOP dumpster fire…
Here is the real world, folks:
“Behind the scenes, most top GOP/Republicans – in Congress, on K Street and beyond – plan for President Hillary Rodham Clinton. One veteran of GOP/Republican administrations gave us his forecast for QUICK WINS Clinton could achieve under divided government: “There will be a big push for infrastructure spending and it will succeed. It is going to be way beyond the normal road-building — deep into ports, deep into airports, just a massive national effort to build, rebuild, refurbish infrastructure. Even the Republicans will be with Clinton: It’s very hard for Republicans to vote against fixing THEIR bridges, roads, airports, ports.”

      • PAK:
Might be right about that. Even GOP mega-donor Charles Koch acknowledges we must have a qualified, responsible capable President of the United States, and that among Trump, Cruz and Clinton – only Hillary Clinton is the right choice.
So Pressanykey, it appears that even Charles Koch of the GOP agrees with you – Hillary may be “too big to jail.”

      • If having your own email server is worse than lying to get us into a war for the Saudis and Israelis costing us thousands of lives and trillions of dollars, then there’s no hope for a partisan hack like you. Now if she was deliberately giving secrets away like your buddy Jonathan Pollard, then that’s another story. Let’s see some proof she did that.

        • House Oversight and Government Committee

Select Committee on Benghazi Communications Director Jamal D. Ware issued the following statement regarding the use of multiple email addresses by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton:

“The Select Committee on Benghazi is in possession of records with two separate and distinct email addresses used by former Secretary Clinton and dated during the time she was Secretary of State.

“Without access to the relevant electronic information and stored data on the server—which was reportedly registered to her home—there is no way the Committee, or anyone else, can fully explain why the Committee uncovered two email addresses.

“As Chairman Gowdy has noted, this is why former Secretary Clinton’s exclusive use of personal emails to conduct official U.S. government business is so problematic and raises significant issues for transparency. The American people have a right to a full accounting of all the former Secretary’s emails, and the Committee is committed to working to uncover all the facts.”

          • WHAT exactly rises to the level of a crime, PAK?
I mean a court, not Trey Gowdy (that’s me making fun of you PAK), has to find a crime after a trial, right?
All of this interest in email servers and Benghazi HOPING, PRAYING, SCRATCHING, CLAWING…all of it in a desperate ninth inning attempt to HOPE for something that stops Hillary Clinton from being the next President. Its all just absolute desperation.

          • I am guessing you did not see this when I posted it:

            18 U.S. CODE SECTION: 1001

Hillary’s future is looking dimmer all the time.

            * * * * * * * * * * *

It is directly applicable to a number of her violations of US Code, including her role in the IRS targeting of conservative organizations applying for non-profit status, her role in the Benghazi cover up of what really happened, and her role in using and maintaining two unsecured personal email accounts for official government business of a top secret nature or above nature.

All of which would have, long ago, cost any republican office holder their job.

          • Pressanykey….you know, there are three totally laughable issues here with your logic:
            1. We are talking about things that are actually CRIMES Hillary has been declared guilty of, NOT JUST things YOU DON’T LIKE, right?
            2. You posted a couple of pages of criminal code? Ok, that means…GUILT has been established? (Uh, NO…it means you know how to post a link….ha!) BTW, now you’re saying Hillary Clinton targeted conservative orgs for IRS investigations criminally. WHAT? (You must be drinking corn alcohol)
            3. I thought you were talking about crimes…..but NOW you are saying Hillary should do what, I’m not sure, because other GOP officials have had to leave office in the past. There’s no substance or illegality to your comment, of course.
(I’m making fun of you…it is way too easy.)

          • § 1001. Statements or entries generally
            (a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—
            (1) falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any
            trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
            (2) makes any materially false, fictitious, or
            fraudulent statement or representation; or
            (3) makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry; shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves
international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both. If the matter relates to an offense under chapter 109A, 109B, 110, or 117, or section 1591, then the term of imprisonment imposed under this section shall be not more than 8 years.

            * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

It is her lies and coverups, and not being forthcoming with all of the information she possessed to the investigators and to the oversight committee that has put her butt in a sling.

You can play dumb all you want, in fact, you do an excellent job of playing dumb, but it does not change the facts.

  3. Is Weinz setting himself up to be fired by Pence and make a political issue out of it, or is he just attracted to politics like a moth is to a flame? If he winds up back in local politics, the democrats just think their party is a mess now. He’ll finish them off. Pence may have that all figured out or else Winnie filled him in on what a curse Weinzapfel was, so Pence is looking the other way while JW wreaks havoc. It’s kind of convoluted, but this is Indiana politics at its rotten best.

Why would anybody look at Carol’s social media pages? I have better things to do with my time.

  5. It will get interesting. I’ve seen time after time when somebody drops the dime it’s usually them who ends up in more trouble than their target.

Didn’t take this inept administration long to go full blown hubris. It will be their undoing since the electorate doesn’t seem to want that job.

  6. It’s so tragic when good political love goes bad. The two mayors had such an intense feeling for one another. One wouldn’t run for mayor unless the other did not run for re-election. Their relationship formed by two huge egos was so hot that the Demo Party went up in flames. They deserve each other – still.

    • Their rift is nothing a good expensive public works project can’t fix. If Winnecke could have just bit the bullet long enough to bring Weinz in he’d have him a 6 story motel going up.

Gravel and gravelly, a tough pair to draw to.

    • Perfectly. Well. Said. Evil. Tax. Payer.
And absolutely, totally, unadulterated trash…Everyone is dumb, except ETP, I guess. (But I love ya. Made me laugh ETP!!)
