The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Board of School Trustees is now asking for names of individuals interested in filling the soon to be open School Board position  from January 2014 through December 2014.
EVSC Board President Sally Becker announced her resignation during the regular meeting of the Board of School Trustees. She is moving from Evansville in order to be nearer family, leaving her seat on the School Board open for the remainder of her term.
Any person interested in being considered for appointment to the School Board must submit a notice of interest, along with a resume by Email to: sally.becker@evsc.k12.in.us; or delivered to the EVSC at 951 Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713 by noon, Monday, November 25, 2013. This method of filling this position is in compliance with EVSC Board adopted policy number 0142.3.
To be considered for appointment, an applicant must:
1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Be 21 years old
2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Resident of Vanderburgh County Indiana, District 2
3)Â Â Â Â Â Â Employees of the EVSC are disqualified from applying
An Executive Session is planned for the School Board on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of considering Becker’s replacement. A public meeting will follow the Executive Session.
