Members of the Evansville Bar Association are volunteering their time on Friday, September 15, 2017, to assist The Arc of Evansville for the fourth annual “Annual Day of Service.” The EBA’s Day of Service coincides with service projects sponsored by bar associations throughout the State of Indiana. The Evansville Bar Association volunteers will assemble at the Arc at 8:30 a.m. and will begin scraping and painting parts of the Arc headquarters on Virginia Street.
Chair of the 2017 EBA Day of Service Project, Joe Langerak of the law firm of Jackson Kelly, explained the reason the Bar Association selected the Arc: “The Arc of Evansville advocates for those who often cannot advocate for themselves. In addition, it helps those with disabilities achieve their full potential. The Arc also helps those with disabilities find meaningful employment. These folks are often a forgotten or ignored cross section of the community, especially those with severe disabilities. The EBA is pleased to assist the Arc as it does this good work in our community.”
