COUNCILMAN ELPERS RESPONDS TO HIS FACEBOOK POSTS ABOUT DRAG QUEEN READING TO CHILDREN
Dear Evansville Community,

I disagree with the event that the EVPL wants to sponsor.  I believe there are more suitable ways to teach diversity and tolerance that is related to the LGBTQ community.  I voiced my opinion in a non-threatening way without name calling or cursing.

However, others were so quick to spew “hate” and “intolerance” of my views.  I wish everyone could voice their beliefs and opinions without fear.  I don’t have evil in my heart.  I care about my community, and I only want what’s best for it.

Sincerely,

Justin Elpers

Evansville City Council 5th Ward

  1. “If they hated Me they will hate you,” Christ said. I would rather be right than “politically correct.” People wonder why there are school shootings, rape, violence, hate crimes. Yet today they “call good evil and evil good.” God says that it is “an abomination” and I would rather follow what God says that what man makes up as “right”. The next step is that pedophiles will get their “rights”. Then it will be those that wish to have sex with animals and “marry” them. Think it can’t happen? It is already taking place overseas. I have written dozens of books, which are on Amazon. One is titled, “That’s Bellabuggery: What in the world does that mean? It is what God calls the twisted “morals” we have today.

  2. You don’t get to call people “reprehensible” and then say you spoke without name calling. That’s the same sort of bald-faced “up is down” lie that I’d expect from the President. You are literally saying you didn’t do what you plainly and obviously did.

  3. How right you are, Mr. Barnes. The hatred that has spewed from people at anyone who stands against this presentation is awful. It shows how deep in hate the people have sunk to and find it is acceptable for any perversion at all to take place. We are certainly in the End Times when Jesus will return for His people. We, as Christians, have to stand for right, and you know that the Bible clearly states that in the End Times that Good will be called Evil and Evil will be called good. We are living in this time and seeing it right here in Evansville. Just sad. Mr. Wilson: Saying “reprehensible” is not calling people names.
