  1. http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/09/justice/las-vegas-shooting/

Two Cliven Bundy disciples murder cops and the blue lives matter crowd was silent. Two card carrying tea party members and white christians. The hypocrisy of the white supremacist media is sickening. Also, the Michigan shooter on Monday who murdered 2 cops was white. Shouldn’t guys like Rush, Hannity, Beck be apologizing for their race and calling for an end to violence? How come nobody called Dylann Roof a terrorist?

  2. Report from on the ground — From Crains-Cleveland-Business on the RNC/Trump Convention this year:
“This is the first year in the past two decades that Republicans aren’t excited about attending the convention. Normally, we’re all jazzed up about getting together and celebrating our nominee,” Chris Perkins, a national Republican Party pollster who has attended every Republican convention since 1996. “There’s nothing to celebrate this cycle. I’m going because I have to, not because I want to.”
Ohio’s Cushman & Wakefield: “Two, just two, Fortune 500 companies called about convention space. Hundreds in other years. Neither committed. All the brokers heard was that companies don’t want their products associated with the convention,” he said. “Once Trump became the nominee, no one was interested. How else is it there is no activity for the last 40 days before the convention?”
Fans of bestselling author Ann Coulter will able to meet the conservative firebrand next week at the Barnes & Noble store at 11451 Euclid Ave. on the Case Western Reserve University campus. At noon on Wednesday, July 20, Coulter will sign and answer questions about latest current book, “Adios, America.” Joining Coulter for the event is Milo Yiannopoulos, associate editor of Breitbart and a fellow Trump supporter.

  3. although crooked doormat hillary has out spent Mr.Trump 60 million to nothing Mr.Trump has now moved ahead of crooked doormat hillary in the crucial swing states………..Mr.Trump………..law and order……..2016…………

    • ….Trump has no money. He said he was self-funding. That was a lie. Billionaire Mark Cuban pointed out “The guy doesn’t have any money. He has to ask donors for money. He will tell them anything they want to hear.” Even they said no. You’re pointing out Trump has no money al sharpie. Trump has to get taxpayer funding of his campaign after the convention, it’s so bad. Trump Taxpayer Funded Campaign. Amazing.

    • Give it time. This is right after they released their report from the phony witch hunt. We have a long way to go.

  4. extra extra read all about it don becker says Mr.Trump who employs over 25 thousand people has no money…………..lolllllllllllllllllollllllllllllllll…

    • …..al, he’s in debt. Trump is the King of Debt. It’s why he’s being called out by billionaire Mark Cuban “he has no money” and why Trump is afraid to release his tax returns. It’s why he’s not self-funding. Reality TV Star…who says he’s a billionaire. “I don’t need donors money. I am rich. I’m a billionaire. The Donors can keep their money. I dont’ need them.” It’s a great, reality TV star line…but as Mark Cuban points out, false words from a dangerous fool.

      • hey AL SHARPIE:
…….HOW MANY PEOPLE does the City of Evansville employ….?…..and does IT have money?

          • ….umm, no JoeB, in fact it is well documented that nearly all of Donald Trump’s support comes from older men with no more than a high school education, or less than a high school education.
Trump struggles at well below 50% with all college-graduate constituencies: men, women, all races and ethnic groups. Well-educated voters don’t like Trump.

          • sounds like don is talking about the “educated idiots”that live in their mommys basement……….

          • You want some reality Al Sharpie?
Trump is failing to get the support of these college educated professionals….the US Chamber of Commerce.
And they do not live in their mommies basement.

          • Becker/Wayne:

How many times are you going to harp on the fact that Donald Trump did not come crawling to the chamber lobby for either money, or their blessing for his campaign.

Do you really believe that the people out here see that as a negative? If you do, then your ego is even larger than I had imagined.

          • @ PAK: You’re doing a little “cherry-picking” aren’t you? http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html
The truth is that the polls won’t mean much until a week or two after the conventions, because those events usually result in some false “bounce” depending on how things go in them. That being said, both candidates are so deplorable that all bets are off about the polling this year. Leave it to the Democrats to nominate the only person on earth who could possibly lose to Drumpf. Leave it to the Republicans to find a dozen potential nominees who could lose to Hillary Clinton.

          • LKB….that’s true. PAK is desperate, and finds hiding space at the Drudge Report.

The polls are meaningless right now. Clinton finished her worst week, and lost 1% nationally. It doesn’t make sense. Plus, what Press doesn’t want to say…is that the Ohio poll showing Trump leading right now? It is IF YOU DON’T include the Libertarian or Green Party candidate in the poll!! They WILL be on the ballot. And in the poll where they are included? Clinton is leading Ohio by 3%.
Press would sell his mother, his faith, his values and his Church’s real estate to beat Clinton. He’s that resentful. It has NOTHING to do with his love for Trump.
He just wants to make sure everything burns. It’s…”If I can’t win, no one wins.”

          • There you go again Wayne, projecting your sorry values, or rather lack of values, onto someone who you know nothing about. If anyone is desperate it is the lame bunch of elitists who run the national chamber of commerce. If Trump is elected, he will be the first president in modern history who does not have to kiss their ass. That has them wetting their pants trying to find a way to stop him. Doesn’t it Wayne?

          • PRESSANYKEY:
I thought you were calling Ghost, “Wayne.” And that was strange, but who knows, I didn’t.

I am not Wayne, whoever in the hell Wayne is.

          • Funny, about the time Wayne quit posting you showed up and sounded an great deal like him.

          • PRESS:
..local politics is pedestrian and boring. There are no political parties, only vested interests in Evansville. The only thing about local politics that really gets me riled is when Winnecke supported “the cross” thing…..and simple, old-school behind the scenes corruption/patronage. I originally posted here as Weinzwestside, and am a simple Rex Mundi Catholic west-sider from a big family.
Indiana Enoch knows my primary “pissed-off-ed’ness” has to do w/ the way the GOP abandoned Lugar. Time has proven that was a mistake, and I enjoy driving the cultural dumb-asses who did that…..back in to their bunkers.

Pressanykey…..you historically do a great job, and you seem a principled person. But you have abandoned your personal values to inexplicably support Trump…and I relentlessly go after you for it – it is unbecoming, to put it far too mildly, for a standard-bearer to suddenly be hypocritical. I am paying you a back-handed compliment…but don’t expect you to realize that, well, because Jesus Christ, you are really, really angry these days.

          • @PAK: Don isn’t Wayne Parke. He was Weinzwestside and Riverfront Shem before his current incarnation.

  5. don is trying to compare a liberal government to a successful business man………his comparison falls flat……………all successful people like Mr.Trump are wise in how they spend their money unlike liberal governments and crooked life time politicians……..it is without a doubt if Mr.Trump was broke he could not have over 25 thousand people on his payroll…….Mr Trump……law and Order……….2016……..😁

    • You are struggling with this Al Sharpie….and you are right to be insecure and defensive about it.
Trump’s campaign was supposed to be self-funded……and he’s not doing it. (He lied and exploited his TV fans.) He’s tried to raise campaign dollars to replace the cash he said he has, but turns out he doesn’t, and he is failing at the lowest level in raising donor dollars than any GOP candidate in recent history.
So….go ahead and change your story now AL: Tell us a new story: “Trump doesn’t need campaign donations, he doesn’t need to spend money for his campaign.”

      • Wayne, you can not stop people from sending donations to their favorite candidate. He didn’t ask me for any money, but I sent him some. I felt good about it too!

        • …more of this Wayne thing. Like “Wayne Parke?” No, no, never, never, no no never never, oh-ah, am I Wayne Parke. Hell, I voted Democratic in the last Mayor’s race.

          • Press has hit the nail on the head………little wayne parke is without a doubt don becker……….aka tom the toad………lollllllllllll😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

          • LKB: You know what….I laughed too. Not even at them. But it’s funny. It’s a good bit, so to speak, I acknowledge. They need to change the subject, and it’s a pretty good tactic.

    • Has Obama scheduled a date yet when he will pick up Donald Trump in Air Force One and take him to a republican rally in North Carolina?

      • Press:
No former President, any of them, not even the GOP ones….would do that.
In fact, not the GOP Speaker of the House, nor the GOP Senate Majority Leader, nor 80% of the entire Republican Party would go to ANY rally with Donald Trump. Not-Even-to-the-RNC-Convention with Trump.
Your guy is going down, and the GOP is gonna do it PAK.
(Might even happen in the next 3 days, but I really think they will make sure he loses in the Fall instead.)

        • Oh, I see you are losing confidence about all the smack you have been talking about the convention, and now you are hedging by kicking the can down the road a little farther. Buying more time until Trump takes the oath of office. Then, I guess we will see a lot less of you around here.

          • No. No. You are “assuming” …..you do that a lot. The price for stopping Trump at the Convention is TOO HIGH. It affects future elections. NO……the GOP is taking Trump down in the Fall. He is going down…though.

          • Is this an official GOP initiative? I sounds sort of sinister. It is not anything that the United States Secret Service needs to know about, is it?

      • You do understand that the cost of that flight was reimbursed for her share of the cost by the
        DNC, don’t you?

  6. In today’s Evansville Courier&Press legal section, page 1C, the City of Evansville is seeking additional appropriations to the current budget of $2,810,073.00 for various city funds.

IMHO the current state of the city’s financial affairs is a direct result of the mismanagement of the 8 years of the Weinzapfel administration, coupled with the incompetence of the Winnecke administration to deal with the problem.

Weinzapfel’s disastrous knee-jerk reaction to the subprime meltdown was to reach into the wallets of the citizens of Evansville by launching a spending spree underwritten by the taxpayers, for the purpose of shoring up the local business community. Multiple million dollar projects take many years and many more millions of dollars to pay off, and THAT is where this city finds itself at this time, servicing a staggering debt load that is causing even routine services to suffer financial shortfalls that must be dealt with when ever they occur.

It is causing the city’s proposed budget projections to look more like a game of darts where the hits make them look good, and the misses must be made up during the year with additional appropriations. Judging from the increasing number of additional appropriations, the misses are numerous and have people anxious about the future of the City of Evansville.

    • I have not kept count but perhaps someone out there knows: How many additional appropriations have been filed with, and approved by, the City of Evansville to date this year?

    • The issue is that the current approved yearly budget was understated, period. Mayor/city council was not honest
with the true total yearly cost for a fear of a backlash from the public. The worms are using a loophole to insert the real budget gradually so it does seem like a big hit!

  7. Don Becker : just remember that many a old men with only a high school diploma busted his ass at work to support his family while he paid into other programs to support idiots like you

      • EvilTaxpayer…I own farmland and a business. No one is supporting me.

Trump is exploiting you EV-TP…telling you lies like he will force American companies to bring back American jobs, then after he runs out of personal money to fund his campaign….He starts soliciting and accepting donations from Companies who closed their American operations and moved the company to Mexico!! (In plain English words, the Company and the donations from that New Hampshire Company and Owner were listed in the Wall Street Journal.)
        It’s insane.
And you need to WAKE THE HELL UP. Trump is exploiting you….

        • … and Pence. The CP is reporting that’s his pick. He wanted somebody who won’t overshadow his bluster, shore him up with both real and fake Republicans, ratify his bigotry and get the Koch’s to open their wallets. So far he has been unable to squeeze any money out of the Brothers Koch but Pence is one of their favorites. If he can start campaigning now without blowing any of his own money it’ll probably mean the Koch’s have their nose open and the Pence choice worked.

          • He wanted someone who has demonstrated fiscal responsibility in government, someone with Christian values, someone who is a good family man. He found all those qualities in Governor Mike Pence. Personally, I think that one of the best things in Mike Pence’s record is that the Indiana Chamber is not even listed in the top 5 donors to his campaigns! So Mike Pence does not have to kiss their ass either!

        • I own farm land as well. We owners get our government “food stamps” by subsidies
crop insurance, price supports, cost shares on conservation practices, etc.

A lot of other businesses get their own style of government “food stamps” as well.

If memory serves me correctly, excise tax on newer car/trucks are paid half by the
          Hoosier Lottery!

          • BTW…..I agree that farm subsidies and supports either need total reform, or be abolished. But the market also needs to be free, open and competitive. This is a subject about which reasonable people might disagree, and it is not one solved swiftly. It needs to be phased out over time.

    • Them old men made money for their employer/companies and their stock holders as well as feeding their family.
Nowadays those jobs are being done for pennies on a dollar overseas, while the finished product is still sold as if it was made here. A business/stockholders dream! Those replaced jobs now become a government supported lifestyle!

  8. BREAKING NEWS: It appears that things are going awry in Cleveland for Trump’s Chumps. The Stop Trump forces apparently have enough votes to take their “Minority Report” to the floor and “unbind” the delegates. The open meeting is being taken behind closed doors for Priebus to try to do damage control.

    • Reince has turned Jodi Ernst loose in that room and several of the mutineers are now squeaking their dissension a full octave higher than when they woke up this morning. As predicted, it’s a bloody mess.

  9. Courier & Press is reporting Pence has been named as Trump’s VP choice. Of course, given the source, this could be just another quick push of the “Post” button by one of the C&P’s crack interns.

    • Great news! It will get him out of the state!! Hope this all holds together until after tomorrow (July 15) which is the last day he can get out of the running for gov by removing his name off the ballot. Once it is removed, “So long Bozo!”

  10. I’ll ask again. If Hillary refused to release her tax returns and Trump had released his, would you tea partiers REALLY not squawk about it? Be honest.

  11. The Indy Star is now reporting that Mike Pence will be the Veep candidate to run with Trump. Congratulations on scooping the State and National media!

  12. Given that I’m not that enthusiastic about Hillary, I halfway want a Trump presidency and watch the Republicans burn it all down. I’m not heavily invested in equities, my job is fairly recession proof, and I’m older than draftable age. My main fears would be the takeover of the Supreme Court which would allow the Republicans to repeal the bill of rights and of course world war. Also, anything negative that happened would just be blamed on Obama. Side note, I read polls are done only on land lines. Who has land lines? The fox news demo. I’m not reading much into any poll. Conversely, I think Trump’s numbers are actually higher because some people are afraid to admit they’re a racist bigot. They’ll do so quietly and anonymously in the voting booth.

    • Enjoy it while you can! If they’re still close after Labor Day, that will be significant. Pence isn’t going to get him much of a positive bounce, I’m guessing.

      • She is circling the drain. Everyone has her number now, and it is all downhill for her from now on.

  13. Just heard that Hillary is going to choose Rahm Emanuel as her Vice Presidential running mate because he has done such a great job in Chicago.
