    1. Naive? All this time I thought the “Stink from Old Downtown” was Bee Slough,
turns out,– it’s the cesspool of Evansville Politics.

      • Wow….Winnecke World has raised approximately $1,500,000 from the day he announced to run…started with 93k and now has around 237k…beginning cash = 93,000 + 1,500,000 (Suckers’ money) = 1,593,000 available to squander – squandering (1,356,000) = cash on hand at December 31 2014. of 237,000…moral of this story?…he not only squanders the taxpayers’ money but the suckers’ money as well…Viva Winnecke World!!!

        • ….and we wander why in Winnecke World he is referred to as “Mr. Crony Capitalist” his modo “Few of us eat the caviar but the rest of you suckers eat the cake”

    2. Makes one think twice about donating to a campaign fund!

I rather use that money for my own chocolates, telephone bills, groceries, restaurants, plane tickets, etc.

Could this be why so few bother to vote in city elections? The numbers are few, the current mayor only had 12-13% of register eligible voters. I guess it don’t bother the winners, if only 5 voted and they got 3 of them they feel the city is behind them 100%

    3. New Hope Baptist church? The African American museum? The IRS? I think some of it I am not understanding, but there is a lot of dirty laundry hanging on the line. Will we see Rieken’s also?

      • Amazing. Truly amazing. And these are but a few of the incredible listings over the last few days.

      • Appears as ol Woonie has been coined, Winnecke World he is not only Mr. Crony but now is the Candyman with his helper, Ms Christmas Carol a/k/a Carol McClintoch yes Mrs Mayor or should we say Mayor….hope there are enough Dentist to fill the cavities….

    4. The thing that amazes me most is that this activity was in a year that Winnie wasn’t up for re-election. This year should be a real jaw-dropper!

      • Nope but he was pushing that damn hotel — to anyone and everyone. He was gettin’ while the gettin’ was good. I don’t think his acquisition skills should read so well in ’15.

    5. 1) Why do we need strategies re: limestone ? Just go down in the cavern, help yourself !; and

      2) For the chicken fat video guy, he sure eats a LOT of cookies ! Rennie XXO

    6. DEMOCRAT ROBINSON ENDORSES WINNECKE FOR MAYOR
“Vanderburgh County Democratic Vice Chair Connie Robinson endorsed Republican Lloyd Winnecke for Evansville mayor. Robinson supported Winnecke over Democratic candidate for Mayor Rick Davis. Republican Mayor Winnecke defeated Democrat Rick Davis 11,664 to 10,009 to become only the third Republican to serve at the head of city government since 1955.”

      • “Certainly many within the Democrat “establishment” assisted Winnecke, but one of the most notable pockets of cross over support was from the 4th ward where Lloyd obtained 46% from the 4th ward, a shockingly high number for a Republican. Winnecke’s success was due to the support and endorsement of Democrat City Councilwoman Connie Robinson.”

        • Don’t you think that dear Connie is very capable of making a mistake…we can expect her to make it up this go-around…aways beware of those who show up in $2,000 suits …generally those suits are empty….

          • That was not a mistake. She got what she needed and will wipe her hands clean like always. Her “mistakes” are always forgotten. Long, long list of mistakes and still going.

    7. It appears people are happy with the Mayor or they wouldn’t donate. The year before is always the main fund raising emphasis even if some of the money come s in this year.
