Vanderburgh Superior Court was awarded $546,344 by the Office on Violence against Women under the Justice for Families Program Grant.

The Court will use these funds to train and establish a Protective Order Assistance Office located within the Courthouse, itself.  This Protective Order Assistance Office will provide services to those seeking help in completing applications for Protective Orders, needing interpreter services, screening for lethality, safety planning, and to information share with the various Courts in our County.

Resources will also provide training on the effects of Domestic Violence, and provide financial assistance to utilize Guardian ad Litem services in child custody cases where Domestic Violence is a factor.

The Grant will further provide supervised parenting time and exchanges to victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Child Abuse and Stalking.
